Demgegenüber kann eine nicht dargestellte Bedienungsperson, die am Lesegerät (18) tätig ist, ohne weiteres eine Fehlfunktion dieses Lesegerätes (18) feststellen und aus dieser Rückschlüsse auf eine fehlende Deckung des Guthabenkontos (35) ziehen. Bei dieser Schaltung der Figur (3) ist das Lesegerät (18) mit seiner gesamten Funktion davon abhängig, daß es von der Abgleicheinrichtung (10) freigeschaltet wird. Diese Freischaltung über eine Leitung (42) erfolgt nicht, wenn mangels ausreichender Deckung des Guthabenkontos (35) eine Umbuchung zugunsten des Kontos (36) nicht erfolgt. Meldet jedoch das Kontaktglied (12), daß die Umbuchung vorgenommen worden ist, an die Abgleicheinrichtung (10) , so schaltet diese über die Leitung (42) das Lesegerät (18) frei. Dadurch kann die Datenwiedergabeflache (25) des auf die Auflagefläche (24) aufgelegten Datenein- und -wiedergabegerates (3) von der Datenaufnahmeeinheit (23) abgetastet werden. Das Ergebnis der Abtastung wird über eine Leitung (43) in die Abgleicheinrichtung (10) eingegeben. Diese vergleicht das Ergebnis der Abtastung mit den in den Speicher (11) eingelesenen Daten. Sollten die von der Datenaufnahmeeinheit (23) über die Leitung (43) in die Abgleicheinrichtung (10) eingelesenen Daten mit den dem Speicher (11) entnommenen Daten übereinstimmen, so gibt die Abgleicheinrichtung (10) über die Leitung (42) die Funktionsschaltung (19) frei, so daß entweder unmittelbar über den von der Ab¬ gleicheinrichtung (10) gesteuerten, in Figur 1 dargestellten Verschlußmechanismus (30) oder mittelbar über eine nicht dargestellte Bedienungsperson, die das Aufleuchten einer der Lampen (20,21) sieht, der Eintritt zu der Veranstaltung (32) ermöglicht wird. Als Datenein- und- wiedergabegerät (3) kommen jegliche Geräte in Betracht, die in der Lage sind, Daten aufzunehmen und entweder dieselben Daten oder andere Daten wieder zu präsentieren. Dabei können die Daten in optischer Form, beispielsweise als Barcode an der Datenwiedergabeflache (25) erscheinen. Als bsonders günstig für den vorgesehenen Zweck erweist sich auch der Einsatz eines Data Matrix Code, da dieser eine sehr hohe Lese-Zuverlässigkeit besitzt, selbst dann, wenn er erhelbich zerstört oder unleserlich sein sollte. Es ist jedoch auch möglich die Daten (5) in jeglicher anderen Form zu verschlüsseln, beispielsweise als akustische oder elektronische Signale. Verhinderung des Eintritts aufweist.8.
