  • There records include identifier information for the A Party, identifier information for the B Party, the operator who is assisting the parties to establish a call, the type of call and other information.
  • All the records are stored within warehouse 21 and periodically processed to determine the tariffs to be levied to the respective B Parties and the carriers to whom those tariffs are to be passed onto. That is, the B Parties are not directly charged by provider 19. Rather, the provider passes the costs onto the relevant carriers. Typically this processing occurs daily, but other periods are also used in other embodiments.

Abstract

L'invention concerne un système (1) permettant d'établir des communications vocales entre une pluralité de dispositifs d'abonnés sous forme de téléphones cellulaires (2, 3) et de téléphones à ligne fixe ou à fil (4, 5 et 6). Ce système comprend une infrastructure combinée de télécommunications (7) présentant une pluralité de réseaux de télécommunications (8, 9 et 10). Les réseaux sont fournis par des entreprises de télécommunications respectives (12, 13 et 14) et permettent une communication croisée entre entreprises, tel qu'indiqué de manière schématique par des flèches (15, 16, 17). Chaque téléphone est relié à un des réseaux pour permettre une communication vocale sélective avec les autres téléphones. En outre, le réseau comprend des comptes pour les téléphones respectifs reliés à ce même réseau, ces comptes étant tenus sous forme électronique et débités par l'entreprise respective en réponse à la communication sélective. Une interface d'appels à frais virés (18) d'un fournisseur de services (19) répond aux appels provenant des téléphones vers un premier numéro prédéterminé pour permettre d'effectuer un appel à frais virés avec un autre des téléphones. L'appel à frais virés est effectué après que soit passé un appel dudit téléphone vers un deuxième numéro prédéterminé. Un système de facturation (20) répond à l'appel à frais virés étant effectué afin de déterminer un coût d'appel à payer à l'entreprise du réseau à laquelle est relié ledit dispositif.
