Abstract

A mobile power supply unit comprises a trailer (11) adapted for towing. The trailer incorporates a bank of batteries and photo-voltaic cell means (21) for providing a current to charge the batteries. The batteries in turn power remote electrical equipment such as a set of temporary traffic lights. The photo-voltaic cell means is essentially non-adjustable in inclination when the unit is in use. When the electrical equipment is not in use, it is stored with the bank of batteries in essentially the same compartment of the trailer.
