SYSTEM AND METHOD FOR PROVIDING AN E-COMMERCE SERVICE BY
USING A SEPARATE EXECUTABLE FILE
Technical Field
The present invention relates to system and method for providing an E-commerce
service by using a separate executable file. More particularly, the present invention
relates to system and method for being purchased desired goods easily and quickly using
a user terminal without connecting the specified web server for providing E-commerce
service.
Background Art
As Internet circumstances are progressed, the conventional transaction method
such as buying at the real shop has been changed into the E-commerce method of
transaction between a purchaser and a seller via Internet by steps.
Hereinafter, the shape of the conventional E-commerce method will be described
in brief.
FIG. 1 illustrates the structure of carrying out the conventional E-commerce
method.
With reference to FIG. 1, the structure for carrying out the conventional E-
commerce method comprises a purchaser 110, a server 120, a seller 130 and a courier
services company(e.g., FedEx Home Delivery) 140.
That is, the structure for carrying out the conventional E-commerce method
comprises the purchaser 110 who wants to purchase goods via Internet, the server 120
which transmits related information (e.g., goods information, transportation information
and the like) to the purchaser 110 via Internet and is paid the price of the selected goods by
the purchaser 110 via Internet, the seller 130 who provides the goods information and
transportation information to the purchaser 110 through the server 120 and delivers the
selected goods to the courier services company 140 in response to sale request and goods
payment, and the courier services companyl40 which transports the delivered goods to the
purchaser 110 and receives goods arrival confirmation from the purchaser 110.
Hereinafter, the E-commerce flow of the conventional E-commerce system will be
described in brief.
The server 120 having received information related to purchase, payment and the
like from the purchaser 110 transmits sale request and goods payment information to the
seller 130.
If the seller 130 receives the related information (e.g., information about purchaser,
goods and the like) or goods transportation request from the server 120, the seller 130
transmits the goods transportation request to the courier services company 140. And then,
the seller 130 transmits transportation completion information (i.e., the transportation
completion information means that the transportation of the selected goods is completed)
to the server 120.
The server 120 transmits the transportation confirmation information to the
purchaser 110 using the transportation completion information received from the seller 130.
If the seller 130 gives delivered goods and delivery price to the courier services
companyl40, the courier services companyl40 delivers the received goods to the
purchaser 110. After the courier services company 140 receives goods arrival confirmation
(e.g., the recipient's signature) from the purchaser 110, the courier services company 140
transmits the goods arrival confirmation to the server 120 and the seller 130.
The seller 130 transmits the transportation completion information to the server
120 again, the server 130 transmits the transportation completion information received
from the seller 130 to the purchaser 110 again. Hereby, the E-commerce flow of the
conventional E-commerce system is ended.
But, the conventional E-commerce system has an inconvenience that the
advertisement of sorted goods only for the each of the purchaser cannot be performed and
a plurality of purchasers determine whether he purchases arbitrary goods using same goods
information.
Also, the conventional E-commerce system has an inconvenience that various
addition processes (e.g., input of payment information and so on) are required when a
purchaser purchases arbitrary goods.
Also, the conventional E-commerce system has a limit that advertising rates is
increased with a result that various goods advertisements cannot be performed because of
small display of home page for providing E-commerce service.
Also, the conventional E-commerce system has a problem that a sponsor feels
distrust on advertising impact because the advertising impact does not appeared at once.
Disclosure of the Invention
In view of the foregoing and other disadvantage of the conventional system and
method, an object of the present invention is to provide a system and method for providing
an E-commerce service by using a separate executable file, which the system and method
can prevent a flood of unnecessary advertisement and expect the maximum effect of the
advertising impact, because only the most suitable goods are selected using a characteristic
of each of the purchases and only the advertisements for the most suitable goods are
performed.
It is another object of the present invention to provide a system and method for
providing an E-commerce service by using a separate executable file, which the system
and method can complete automatically a purchase request without additional processes

corresponding to the purchase request when the electronic payment information is valid,
wherein the electronic file is in the shape of the executable file and comprises at least one
form for requesting transaction contract. And a system, a device and a computer readable
medium, which performs above steps, are provided.
The method for closing a contract between a purchaser and a seller according to a
purchase request of the purchaser using an electronic file comprising an advertisement
message, the method further comprising the steps of receiving an electronic file
transmission request for receiving an electronic file from the purchaser terminal or a seller
terminal of the seller, examining whether the electronic file corresponding to the electronic
file transmission request exists in pre-stored at least one electronic file, retrieving at least
one purchaser information for transmitting the electronic file when the electronic file exists
and transmitting the electronic file to the purchaser terminal corresponding to the retrieved
purchaser information through a network.
Also, the electronic file is transmitted to the purchaser terminal in the form of an
attached file of a message being transmitted to the purchaser terminal, or is transmitted to
the purchaser terminal to be automatically executed by PUSH technology

Detailed description of the preferred embodiments
Hereinafter, preferred embodiments of the present invention will be described in
more detail with reference to the accompanying drawings. And, reference numeral may be
introduced on one drawing and the same reference numeral will be utilized for the same
item regardless of drawing number.
FIG. 2 illustrates a schematic system block diagram for E-commerce service
system using a separate executable file.
With reference to FIG. 2, the E-commerce service system using a separate
executable file comprises a seller terminal 210, an E-commerce server 220, a purchaser
terminal 230 and a financial server 240.
If the seller terminal 210 and the purchaser terminal 230 are able to connect the E-
commerce server 220 using communication function through the network, anything for the
seller terminal 210 and the purchaser terminal 230 can be applied without limit.
That is, although only personal computer is illustrated in FIG. 2, a mobile phone, a
personal digital assistant (PDA) and the like, too, can be applied. Hereinafter, as illustrated
in FIG. 2, case of personal computer for the seller terminal 210 and the purchaser terminal
230 will be mainly described.
The E-commerce server 220 is a server for creating advertisement message
according to advertisement message creating request of the purchaser, and closing a
contract between a purchaser and a seller at the request of the purchaser. The E-commerce
server 220 comprises processor 222 and data storing part 224.
Hereinafter, the present invention will be described in brief by referring to a
schematic system block diagram in FIG. 2.
At first, the seller terminal 210 transmits advertisement message creating request
comprising the goods information (e.g., image of goods, code of goods, price of goods and
the like) to the E-commerce server 220.
The E-commerce server 220 creates advertisement message corresponding to the
advertisement message creating request, and retrieves the relevant purchaser to transmit the
advertisement message.
And then, the E-commerce server 220 transmits the advertisement message to the
retrieved purchaser through the network, and receives purchase request information for
purchasing arbitrary goods in the advertisement message from the purchaser terminal 230.
The E-commerce server 220 recognizes the electronic payment information (e.g.,
credit card information, account information, cyber money information and the like) of the
purchaser, and transmits the examination request for examining if the electronic payment
information is valid to the financial server 240.
The electronic payment information of the purchaser used by the E-commerce
server 220 is information that is inputted at joining stage in order to use the E-commerce
server 220, or information that is included in the purchase request information.
The financial server 240 may be server of Credit Card Company, bank, financial
company and the like.
And then, if the E-commerce server 220 receives the examination result about
validity of the electronic payment information from the financial server 240 through the
network and the examination result shows that the electronic payment information is valid,
the E-commerce server 220 transmits contract conclusion notice to the purchaser terminal
230, and transmits the contract conclusion notice and goods transportation request to the
seller terminal 210.
FIG. 3 illustrates a flow chart of advertisement message creating process according
to a preferred embodiment of the present invention.
Fig. 3 shows an advertisement message order process in case the sponsor can use
the E-commerce server 220 as a member company.
In most cases that a sponsor requests advertisement, an entrepreneur performing
advertisement directly provides an estimate to the advertiser, and advertisement contract is
signed if the advertiser agrees.
Needless to say, the E-commerce service method using a separate executable file
according to the present invention can be applied in the same way. And, according to
circumstance, when an advertiser presents appropriate price to an entrepreneur, if the
entrepreneur admits the presented price, a method that the entrepreneur performs
advertisement can also be applied.
With reference to FIG. 3, the E-commerce server 220 examines if the
advertisement message creating request (e.g., image of goods, code of goods, price of
goods and the like) is received from the seller terminal 210 in step 310.
The advertisement message creating request received through step 310 may
include an estimate for creating and performing an advertisement. If the estimate is
included in the advertisement message creating request, the estimate can be included in the
shape of attached file or included in the message field of the advertisement message
creating request.
Hereinafter, the case that an estimate is included in the advertisement message
creating request will be mainly described.
Through the examination of the step 310, if the advertisement message creating
request is received, the process proceeds to step 320. Otherwise, the process waits in step
310.
The E-commerce server 220 separates the estimate from the advertisement
message creating request in step 320, and stores the estimate in step 330.
In step 340, the E-commerce server 220 transmits a contract document for creating
and making an advertisement message to the seller terminal 210 through the network.
In step 350, the E-commerce server 220 receives agreement information (i.e.,
prepared contract document by the seller) about the contract document from the seller
terminal 210. In step 360, the E-commerce server 220 performs the electronic payment for
creating, making and transmitting an advertisement message using the seller's electronic
payment information.
The seller's electronic payment information may be included the advertisement
message creating request received through the step 310, or included in the personal
information inputted at joining stage in order to use the E-commerce server 220.
As above described referring to FIG. 2, the electronic payment performed through
the step 360 can be performed through the approval of an additional financial server.
In step 370, the E-commerce server 220 analyzes member company's preference
and plan for making advertisement message using related information (e.g., the seller's
personal information) stored in the data storing part 224. And then, the E-commerce server
220 creates and makes advertisement message in step 380.
The advertisement message created through the step 380 can include a contract
document and an encryption module for protecting the information (e.g., user ID, password
and the like) transmitted from the seller terminal 210. And, the advertisement message can
be in the shape of separate executable file (i.e., file extension of 'XXX.exe')
In step 390, the E-commerce server 220 stores the advertisement message created
through the step 380.
FIG. 4 illustrates a flow chart of advertisement message transmittmg process to
purchaser according to a preferred embodiment of the present invention, FIG. 5 illustrates
a flow chart of profit providing process in response to read of advertisement message
according to a preferred embodiment of the present invention.
With reference to FIG. 4, in step 410, the E-commerce server 220 retrieves
suitable advertisement message among a plurality of advertisement messages created by
the seller's request, in order to transmit to a purchaser.
In step 420, the E-commerce server 220 retrieves purchasers list stored in the data
storing part 224 in order to transmit advertisement message.
In step 430, the E-commerce server 220 transmits the advertisement message
retrieved through the step 410 to the purchaser terminal 230 using the purchasers list
retrieved through 420.
The several methods for transmitting the advertisement message through the step
430 can be applied.
One method is that the purchaser reads the received advertisement message if the
advertisement message is transmitted using related information (e.g., E-mail account
information) inputted at joining stage in order to use the E-commerce server 220.
Another method is that the advertisement message is displayed automatically on a
screen coupled to the purchaser terminal 230 if the advertisement message is transmitted to
the purchaser terminal 230 using push technique.
In this case, if appropriate benefits (e.g., an accumulation of cyber money, a
discount of mobile phone charge, an offer of instant lottery and the like) are provided to
the purchaser when the purchaser reads the received advertisement message, the value and
effect of the advertisement can be maximized because the advertisement message attracts
the interest of the purchaser.
As described above, the method for providing profit to the purchaser in order to
maximize advertising impact will be described referring to FIG. 5.
With reference to FIG. 5, the E-commerce server 220 receives the perusal
information about the advertisement message from the purchaser terminal 230 in step 510,
retrieves account information (e.g., cyber money account, mobile phone charge discount
information and the like) of the purchaser transmitting the perusal information in step 520.
In step 530, the E-commerce server 220 provides predetermined profits (e.g., an
accumulation of cyber money, a discount of mobile phone charge and the like) to the
purchaser using account information retrieved through the step 520.
Needless to say, in addition to the steps shown in FIG. 5, the step of examining if
the perusal information about the advertisement message received from the purchaser
terminal 230 is the perusal information about advertisement message profited already can
be further comprised. Therefore, the repeated perusal information about the same
advertisement message received can be profited within predetermined number (e.g., only
one time).
FIG. 6A, 6B and 6C illustrate examples of screen display in case that a purchaser
purchases goods using advertisement message according to a preferred embodiment of the
present invention.
The examples of screen display shown in FIG. 6A through FIG. 6C can be applied
in case that the purchaser executes an attached file when the purchaser terminal 230
receives advertisement message in the shape of attached file (separate executable file) in E-
ail from the E-commerce server 220, or the advertisement message is displayed
automatically on a screen using push technique when the advertisement message is
received to the purchaser terminal 230.
With reference to FIG. 6A, the logo image 610 of the seller is displayed on a
screen coupled to the purchaser terminal 230, when the purchaser executes the received
attached file (separate executable file including advertisement message) in E-mail or the
advertisement message is displayed automatically.
Needless to say, the logo image displayed on the screen coupled to the purchaser
terminal 230 can be another image. The file format of the logo image can be GIF, JPEG,
GIF animation, AVI and the like, the image can be modified using mask picture control
according to the type that the user wants.
And, if the purchaser clicks the predetermined region (e.g., logo image region,
advertisement message display button and so on) of the logo image 610 using input part
(e.g., mouse), screen display shown in FIG. 6B is displayed on the screen.
With reference to FIG- 6B, a goods information window 620, included information
of goods that the seller wants to sell, is displayed in a certain region (e.g., left side) of the
logo image.
The goods information window 620 comprises image of goods that the seller
wants to sell, goods information, goods price, 'detail' button 622, 'purchase' button 624,
'next' button 626, and 'confirm' button 628.
If the purchaser selects 'detail' button 622, the purchaser terminal 230 connects
automatically to the seller's website or the website including detail information about the
goods using web utility (e.g., Internet Explorer and the like). Therefore, the purchaser can
read the detail information about the goods.
If the purchaser selects 'purchase' button 624, the screen display shown in FIG.
6C is displayed on the screen.
If the advertisement message received from the E-commerce server 220 comprises
a plurality of goods information and the purchaser selects 'next' button 626, another goods
information included in the advertisement message is displayed on the screen.
If the purchaser selects 'confirm' button 628, the predetermined profits can be
provided to the purchaser as described referring to FIG. 5.
FIG. 6C illustrates an example of screen display in case that a purchaser selects
'purchase' button 622 in the goods information window 620.
That is, the 'purchase' button is button for performing purchase request about the
displayed goods using the advertisement message itself.
With reference to FIG. 6C, when the purchaser selects 'purchase' button in the
goods information window 620, a purchase request window 630 is displayed on the screen.
And the purchase request window 630 comprises blank for inputting the goods quantity
that the purchaser wants to purchase, blanks for inputting the purchaser's ID and password,
'confirm' button and 'cancel' button.
The purchaser's ID and password are connection information granted at joining
stage in order to use the E-commerce server 220, and the items for inputting the
purchaser's ID and password in the purchase request window 630 can be changed into
items for inputting secret code, item for inputting connection code and the like.
If the purchaser selects 'confirm' button after the purchaser inputs goods quantity
for purchasing goods, ID and password, the purchase request for purchasing the goods is
completed. And, if the purchaser selects 'cancel' button because the purchaser does not
want to purchase, the purchase request for purchasing goods is interrupted.
Also, if various payment means (e.g., credit card, auto transfer between bank
accounts) can be used in order to pay goods price, item for selecting payment means
among a plurality of selectable payment means can be further comprised in the purchaser
has the purchase request window 630.
Needless to say, if the purchase request window 630 is not formed as additional
window shown in FIG. 6C, but the purchase request window 630 is included in the goods
information window 620, the purchaser can read goods information and input purchase
request at the same time using the goods information window 620.
FIG. 7 illustrates a flow chart of advertising message transmitting process to
purchaser according to another preferred embodiment of the present invention.
With reference to FIG. 7, in step 710, the E-commerce server 220 retrieves
relevant advertisement message among the at least one advertisement messages created by
the seller's request (shown in FIG. 3), in order to transmit advertisement message to a
purchaser terminal 230.
In step 720, the E-commerce server 220 retrieves the purchaser information stored
in the data storing part 224 in order to transmit the advertisement message.
In step 730, the E-commerce server 220 examines if the retrieved advertisement
message retrieved through the step 710 is suitable to the purchaser using the purchaser
information retrieved through the step 720.
The several methods for examining if the advertisement message retrieved through
the step 730 is suitable to the purchaser can be applied as follows.
One method is that the interest field information (e.g., communication, game,
reading and the like) inputted at joining stage in order to use the E-commerce server 220 is
used.
For example, if the advertisement message includes advertisement information
about new book, the advertisement message is transmitted to the only specified purchaser
selecting reading in the interest field information.
If this method is applied, the advertisement message can be used for target
marketing.
Another method is that the E-commerce server 220 examines if the purchaser
accepts the reception of the advertisement message at joining stage.
That is, this method is that the E-commerce server 220 transmits the advertisement
message to the only purchaser accepting reception of the advertisement message.
If this method is applied, the seller and the E-commerce server 220 prevent from
transmission of unnecessary advertisement message, and the purchaser omits reception of
the undesired advertisement message.
Still another method is that the communication means information (e.g., Modem,
private network and the like) of the purchaser inputted at joining stage is used.
That is, if the purchaser terminal 230 identified using the communication means
information can display moving picture, the E-commerce server 220 transmits
advertisement message including moving picture. Otherwise, the E-commerce server 220
transmits advertisement message including stopped image.
If this method is applied, the suitable advertisement message can be transmitted to
the purchaser terminal 230, unnecessary time for displaying advertisement message on the
screen can be reduced, and a plurality of separate advertisement messages can be created
from the advertisement message creating stage.
Through the examination of the step 730, if the advertisement message is suitable
to the purchaser, the E-commerce server 220 stores the purchaser information (e.g., E-mail
account, IP address and so on) in a transmission list in step 740. But, if the advertisement
message is not suitable to the purchaser, the process proceeds to step 720 again, the E-
commerce server 220 retrieves another purchaser information.
In step 750, the E-commerce server 220 examines if all of the purchaser
information stored in the data storing part 224 is retrieved.
Through the examination of the step 750, if all of the purchaser information stored
in the data storing part 224 is not retrieved, the process proceeds to step 720 again, the E-
commerce server 220 retrieves another purchaser information. But, if all of the purchaser
information stored in the data storing part 224 is retrieved, the process proceeds to step 760.
In step 760, the E-commerce server 220 transmits the advertisement message
retrieved through the step 710 to arbitrary purchaser terminal 230 included the
transmission list stored through the step 740.
The case that perusal information about the advertisement message is received
after the E-commerce server 220 transmits the advertisement message to arbitrary
purchaser terminal is already described referring to FIG. 5. Therefore, duplicate description
will be omitted here.
FIG. 8 illustrates a flow chart of contract closing process between a purchaser and
a seller according to a preferred embodiment of the present invention.
With reference to FIG. 8, in step 810, the E-commerce server 220 receives a
purchase request (e.g., the purchase request comprises goods quantity for purchasing goods,
ID, password and the like) from the purchaser terminal 230.
Because the method for transmitting the purchaser request to the purchaser
through the step 810 is already described referring to FIG. 6A, 6B and 6C, the duplicate
description will be omitted here.
In step 820, the E-commerce server 220 examines if the connection information
(e.g., the purchaser's ID, the purchaser's password and the like) in the purchase request
received through the step 810 is valid.
In step 820, the method for examining the connection information can be, for
example, the method for examining if the connection information received through the step
810 coincides with the connection information granted at joining stage in order to use the
E-commerce server 220
Through the examination of the step 820, if the connection information is not valid,
the E-commerce server 220 transmits the error message (e.g., 'the password is not correct,
retry please.') to the purchaser terminal 230 in step 830. And then, the process proceeds to
step 810 again.
But, if the connection information is valid, the process proceeds to step 840.
In step 840, the E-commerce server 220 retrieves the purchaser's payment means
information for performing electronic payment, and transmits the retrieved payment means
information to the financial server 240 in order to perform validity examination and
recognition.
Needless to say, if the payment means is the predetermined payment means (e.g.,
cyber money, reserve and the like) which are passed freely in the E-commerce server 220,
the step of transmitting the payment means information to the financial server 240 can be
omitted.
In step 850, the financial server 240 receives the payment means information from
the E-commerce server 230. And then, the financial server 240 examines if the payment
means information is valid using the credit card number, the available period, the
remainder, a purchasing limit and the like.
In step 870, the financial server 240 transmits the validity examination result
created through the validity examination of the step 860 to the E-commerce server 220.
In step 880, the E-commerce server 220 receives the validity examination result
from the financial server 240. And then, in step 890, the E-commerce server 220 examines
if the payment means information is valid using the validity examination result received
through the step 870.
The examination of the step 890, if the payment means information is not valid,
the process proceeds to step 900, the E-commerce server 220 transmits an error message
(e.g., 'Your credit card is unfit for use') to the purchaser terminal 230, the process
proceeds to step 810 again.
Also, through the examination of the step 890, if the payment means information
is valid, the process proceeds to step 910, the E-commerce server 220 transmits a contract
conclusion notice to the purchaser terminal 230 and the seller.
The contract conclusion notice transmitted to the purchaser terminal 230 through
the step 910 can be, for example, a purchase request recognition completion notice, and the
contract conclusion notice transmitted to the seller through the step 910 can be, for
example, goods transportation request.
While the present invention has been particularly shown and described with
reference to preferred embodiments thereof, it will be appreciated that many variations,
modifications and other applications of the present invention may be made.
Industrial Applicability
According to the present invention, system and method for providing an E-
commerce service by using a separate executable file can prevent a flood of unnecessary
advertisement and expect the maximum effect of the advertising impact, because only the
most suitable goods are selected using a characteristic of each of the purchases and only
the advertisements for the most suitable goods are performed.
Also, system and method for providing an E-commerce service by using a separate
executable file can complete automatically a purchase request without additional processes
such as input of payment information, if a purchaser selects arbitrary goods in the
advertisement with an input device.
Also, system and method for providing an E-commerce service by using a separate
executable file can not only apply to various shapes for advertisement according to the
object and the intention of a sponsor, but also make possible for the sponsor to discriminate
easily advertising impact.
