Abstract

A system and method for avoiding interference in spread spectrum systems are disclosed. The system generally comprises a detector operable to detect interference from a co-located system operating in at least one of the same frequency bands as the system, an identifier operable to identify a transmission of the co-located system, and a transmission modifier operable to modify a transmission of the spread spectrum system to avoid substantial interference with the transmission of the co-located system.
