Abstract

L'invention concerne un système de téléprésence qui utilise un réseau de caméras de façon à fournir à un premier utilisateur un premier affichage d'un environnement, et à fournir à un second utilisateur un second affichage de l'environnement. Chaque caméra comporte une vue associée de l'environnement. Un premier dispositif à interface utilisateur comporte un premier ensemble d'entrées utilisateur associées au mouvement le long d'une première trajectoire, et un second dispositif à interface utilisateur comporte un second ensemble d'entrées associées à une seconde trajectoire. Un élément de traitement interprète le premier et le second ensemble d'entrées et sélectionne indépendamment la sortie des caméras, ce qui permet au premier et au second utilisateur de naviguer simultanément et indépendamment dans l'environnement. Dans d'autres modes de réalisation, le réseau comprend de multiples caméras à un noeud ou selon une certaine perspective, les caméras ayant des champs de vision différents au choix des utilisateurs pour permettre une navigation avant ou arrière dans l'environnement. Le système peut également être utilisé pour comparer différentes images ou des parties d'images.
