Abstract

A tissue dispenser container is disclosed, which includes a flexible bag (10) having a dispenser opening (38). The bag (10) is adapted to contain tissues to be dispensed, and has a closable insertion opening (34) through which tissues can be placed into the bag (10), and a lid (42) for closing the dispenser opening (34). The flexible bag (10) may include a base (26) on which the bag (10) is supportable in upright condition.

Description

Tissue dispenser container.
FIELD OF INVENTION
The present invention relates to a tissue dispenser container.
More particularly, the invention relates to a tissue dispenser container for dispensing tissues, in particular moist tissues.
BACKGROUND TO INVENTION
Various tissue dispenser containers are known. One type is in the form of a square box with a removable perforated lid through which individual tissues, mostly dry tissues, can be removed in sequence.
Another type, intended for moist tissues, is in the form of a cylindrical container having a lid which can be lifted to expose an aperture through which moist tissues in endless roll form can be withdrawn as required. When not in use, the lid is closed so that the next tissue to be withdrawn projects somewhat through the closed lid but with the container being closed to prevent drying out of the moist tissues.
Most of the prior tissue containers are relatively expensive to produce and are not of a "throw-away type".
It is an object of the invention to suggest a novel type of tissue dispenser container which is simple in construction and is economical to produce. SUMMARY OF INVENTION
According to the invention, a tissue dispenser container, which includes a flexible bag having a dispenser opening and being adapted to contain tissues to be dispensed, is characterized thereby that the flexible bag has a closable insertion opening through which tissues can be placed into the bag, and a lid for closing the dispenser opening.
The flexible bag may include a base on which the bag is supportable in upright condition.
The flexible bag may have a front wall and a rear wall, which are sealingly joined along their edges.
The insertion opening may be closable by way of a zipper fastener.
The tissues may be in roll form.
The tissues may be moist.
The dispenser opening may have a slot through which tissues can be withdrawn.
The dispenser opening may be covered by a disc sealingly joined to the wall of the bag, an elongated dispensing slot provided in the disc, and a collar provided surrounding the dispensing slot.
The lid may be adapted to close off the dispensing slot by fitting frictionally over the collar.
BRIEF DESCRIPTION OF DRAWINGS
The invention will now be described by way of example with reference to the accompanying schematic drawings.
In the drawings there is shown in: Figure 1 : a front view of the tissue dispenser container in lay flat form without containing a roll of moist tissues;
Figure 2: a view corresponding to Figure 1 but with the tissue dispenser container provided with a roll of moist tissues shown in dotted lines and the cap removed from the dispenser opening;
Figure 3: a side view seen along arrow II in Figure 2;
Figure 4: a sectional plan view seen along arrows IV-IV in Figure 3; and
Figure 5: a sectional view of the cap and dispenser opening seen along arrows V-V in Figure 3.
DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF DRAWINGS
Referring to the drawings, the tissue dispenser container in accordance with the invention is in the form of a bag 10 constructed of a sleeve 12 having a front panel or wall 14 and a rear panel or wall 16, which are joined along their longitudinal edges 18 and 20, and at their respective bottom edges 22 and 24 by way of a floor 26. Their upper edges 28, 30 are also joined together to form an upper strip 32.
In the front panel 14 a transverse opening 34 is provided, which is sealingly closeable by way of a zipper fastener 36.
Furthermore, in the front panel 14 a dispenser opening 38 is provided around which a stiff collar or neck 40 is fitted, which is closeable by way of a removable closing cap or lid 42. The collar 40 has a disc 44 provided with an elongated slotted opening 46.
The bag 10 has a slot 48 in its upper strip 32 for suspending the bag 10 from a hook for display purposes. The tissues are provided as a roll 50 with a plurality of transverse spaced apart perforations or weakened zones for tearing off individual tissues.
During packaging for display or sale a roll 50 is inserted through the opening 34 into the bag 10 and thereafter the opening 34 is closed by way of the zipper fastener 36 to prevent drying out of the moist roll of tissues 50.
Referring to Figure 5, the collar 40 is shown to be integrally formed with the disc 44, which has a circumferential edge 52 which is sealed to the front wall 14.
The cap 42 has an annular ring 54 which fits frictionally sealingly over the collar 40 as shown. The cap 42 further has a gripping lug 56 to assist in withdrawing it. The cap 42 can be hingedly connected to the collar 40.
The cap 42 and the collar 40 as well as the other parts 44, 54, 56 may be made of suitable plastics material, e.g. by injection moulding.
In use, the zipper fastener 36 is opened and a roll 50 of moist tissues is placed into the bag 10. Thereafter the zipper fastened 36 is closed to seal the interior of the bag 10 so as to prevent drying of the tissue roll 50. In this condition the bag 10 may be stored, transported or displayed in a shop.
When a user requires to dispense tissues the zipper fastener 36 is pulled to open the opening 34, then the leading tissue 58 of the roll of tissues is withdrawn from the centre of the roll 50 while the cap 42 is off and this tissue 58 is pressed through the slot 46 to the outside. Thereafter the zipper fastener 36 is pulled to close the opening 34. Now the individual tissues can be withdrawn through the slot 46 and torn off for use. For storage until further use the end of the leading remaining tissue is folded inside the collar 40 and the cap 42 is replaced. Thus drying out of the leading tissue 58 of the tissue roll 50 is prevented. When all of the tissues from the roll 50 have been dispensed the bag 10 is discarded.
