Dislosed is a juice extractor including a main body, a motor assembly for providing a rotation force, a drum having a cooking articles receptacle portion and a crushing portion for crushing cooking articles, a screw part mounted in the drum and rotated according to the rotation force transmitted from the motor assembly and for moving the cooking articles to be crushed, a cooking article squeezing part mounted on the crushing portion of the drum to enclose a front end of the screw part and for squeezing the crushed cooking articles through mutual operations with the screw part, a discharging channel formed under the bottom of the drum and extended from the receptacle portion to the crushing portion and for discharging juice collected in the receptacle portion through the crushing portion to external, and a filtering part incorporated on the squeezing part in one body and arranged to filter the crushed cooking articles on the entrance of the discharging channel formed under the bottom of the receptacle portion and for removing residue contained in juice.

Description

JUICE EXTRACTOR HAVING AN OUTLET FOR DISCHARGING JUICE
BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION
1. Field of the Invention
The present invention relates to a juice extractor, and more particularly to a juice extractor capable of discharging juice with forming a separate juice discharging channel under the bottom of a cooking articles receptacle portion of a drum. 2. Description of the Prior Art
In general, a juice extractor is referred to as a mixer, which minutely crushes cooking articles such as vegetables, fruits, and so with a screw on so as to extract juice.
In recent, such juice extractor has been improved to perform a rough-crushing function, a powder-making function, a noodle-making function, and the like, in addition to the juice-extracting function, in compliance with consumers' diverse desires.
FIG. 1 is a cross-sectioned view for showing such juice extractor. As shown in FIG. 1 , A juice extractor 1 is formed in a cylindrical shape, and includes a drum 2 having a cooking articles receptacle portion and a crushing portion, a screw part 5 rotatably mounted in the drum 2 therein and for moving and crushing cooking articles such as vegetables and the like, a cooking article squeezing part 4 mounted in the crushing portion to enclose the front end of the screw part 5 and for squeezing the cooking articles in order for juice to be obtained through mutual operations with the screw part 5, and a drum cap 3 for discharging residue passing the cooking article squeezing part

Cooking articles such as vegetables, fruits, and the like are supplied into a cooking articles receptacle portion formed in the drum 2 through an inlet portion 2a formed on an upper side of the drum 2, and the supplied cooking articles are moved to a crushing portion by screw rotations. The cooking articles are crushed by mutual operations of a spiral blade of the screw part 5 and the inner surface of the cooking article squeezing part 4 and the crushed cooking articles are moved toward the cooking article squeezing part 4 so as to be compacted by rotations of a compacting blade formed on the front end of the screw part 5. Accordingly, juice is extracted by the compression of the compacting blade, and the extracted juice is discharged through a discharging channel formed under the drum 2. Further, residue is discharged through a nozzle 8 formed in the drum cap 3. However, such juice extractor has a problem in discharging juice efficiently into the cooking article squeezing part 4 since much juice comes out in the initial steps in case that juice is extracted from vegetables such as celery and the like, and from fruits such as grapes, oranges, straw berry, and so on containing excessive juice.
Further, such juice extractor has another problem of deteriorating a juice- extracting rate since juice stays on the bottom of the cooking articles receptacle portion. SUMMARY OF THE INVENTION
Accordingly, it is an object of the present invention to provide a juice extractor capable of preventing juice from staying on the cooking articles receptacle portion by forming a separate outlet portion in the cooking articles receptacle portion. Further, it is another object of the present invention to provide a juice extractor capable of preventing juice from being discharged together with residue by mounting a filtering gauze.
In order to achieve the objects, a juice extractor of the present invention comprises a main body; a motor assembly mounted in the main body, and for generating a rotation force; a drum mounted at a side of the main body, and divided into a cooking articles receptacle portion into which cooking articles are put and a crushing portion for crushing and extracting juice from the cooking articles; a screw part mounted in the drum and rotated according to the rotation force transmitted from the motor assembly, and for moving and crushing the cooking articles; a cooking article squeezing part mounted on the crushing portion of the drum to enclose a front end of the screw part, and for squeezing the crushed cooking articles through mutual operations with the screw part; a discharging channel formed under a bottom of the drum and extended from the receptacle portion to the crushing portion, and for discharging juice stayed and collected in the receptacle portion through the crushing portion to external; and a filtering part incorporated on the cooking article squeezing part in one body and arranged to filter the crushed cooking articles on the entrance of the discharging channel formed under the bottom of the receptacle portion, and for removing residue contained in juice.
According to the present invention, the discharging channel is formed by extending to the crushing portion a depressed portion formed by depressing a lower portion of the cooking articles receptacle portion by a predetermined width in a peripheral direction of the drum. The filtering part includes a filtering gauze having first and second frames mounted in one body with the cooking article squeezing part, a third frame for incorporating the first and second frames in one body, and a gauze mounted in an opening formed by the first, second, and third frames. The filtering gauze has the same shape as an entrance of the discharging channel so as to block the entrance of the discharging channel, enabling the filtering function to be carried out. DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF THE PREFERRED EMBODIMENT
Hereinafter, a juice extractor according to an embodiment according to the present invention will be described in detail with reference to the accompanying drawings.
FIG.2 is an exploded perspective view for showing a conventional juice extractor, and FIG. 3 is a cross-sectioned view for showing a discharging channel formed in the juice extractor of FIG. 2. As shown in FIGs. 1 and 2, the juice extractor 10 includes a main body 11 , a motor assembly 18 built in the main body 11 and for providing a rotation force, a drum detachably mounted in one side of the main body 11 , a screw part 30 mounted in the drum 20 and rotatable by the rotation force of the motor assembly 18, a cooking article squeezing part 40 enclosing the front end of the screw part 30 and for squeezing cooking articles, and a drum cap 50 detachably mounted on the front end of the drum 20 and for discharging residue.
Switches 12 are mounted on the upper side of the main body 11 , and the motor assembly 18 is mounted in the main body 11. Accordingly, the motor assembly 18 can be forwards and backwards rotated by the manipulations of the switches 12. Further, a handle grip 13 is formed on the upper side of the main body 11 so that the juice extractor 10 can be carried with,, and an opening 16 is formed on the front side of the main body 11. Accordingly, a center shaft 32 of the screw part 30 is incorporated with a rotation shaft of the motor assembly 18 through the opening 16 so that the screw part can be rotated as the motor assembly is rotated. Further, A tie ring 14 is mounted around the opening 16. The tie ring 14 is formed in a circular shape and has plural first latch grooves 15 spaced apart in a certain interval in the inner perimeter.
The drum 20 is formed in a hollow cylindrical shape and has an inlet portion 21 upwards protruded on the upper side thereof. Accordingly, cooking articles such as vegetables, fruits, and so on can be put into the inside of the drum 20 through the inlet portion 21. Plural first latch portions 23 are protruded from outer periphery on a side of the drum 20, and the plural first latch portions 23 are engaged with the plural first latch grooves 15 of the tie ring 14. Accordingly, the drum 20 is inserted and the tie ring 14 is rotated by a certain angle in clockwise and counterclockwise directions, in order for the drum 20 to be attached and detached to and from the main body 11. Further, plural second latch grooves 27 are formed on the inner periphery of another side of the drum 20. Furthermore, the drum 20 is divided into a cooking articles receptacle portion 61 and a crushing portion 62 by a raised portion 73 therein. That is, the cooking articles receptacle portion 61 and the crushing portion 62 have different diameters, respectively, and the diameter of the cooking articles receptacle portion 61 is smaller than the crushing part 62. Accordingly, the raised portion 73 is formed between the cooking articles receptacle portion 61 and the crushing portion 62. Further, a step portion is formed on the raised portion 73.
Furthermore, a lower portion of the cooking articles receptacle portion 61 is depressed by a predetermined width in a peripheral direction to form a depressed portion. The depressed portion is extended to the crushing portion 62 to form a discharging channel 29 having a predetermined width. Accordingly, the cooking articles receptacle portion 61 and the crushing portion 62 fluidically communicates to each other. If juice extracted in the cooking articles receptacle portion stays on the bottom of the cooking articles receptacle portion, the stayed juice flows in:o the crushing portion through the discharging channel 29. As a result, the stayed juice is discharged through an outlet portion 25.
The screw part 30 is longitudinally and rotatably mounted in the drum 20. That is, the center shaft 32 of the screw part 30 is connected to the motor assembly 30 in order for the center shaft 32 to be rotated as the motor assembly 18 is driven, so that the screw part 30 is rotated. Accordingly, cooking articles such as vegetables, fruits, and so on can be moved toward the front end of the drum with the screw part 30 rotated. Further, the cooking article squeezing part 40 is mounted in the crushing part 62. The cooking article squeezing part 40 is constituted with a first circular frame 42, a second circular frame 44 positioned at an opposite side of the first circular frame 42, supporters 45 for connecting the first and second circular frames 42 and 44 in one body, a first gauze formed in a funnel shape with the first and second circular frames 42 and 44, and a filtering gauze 43 formed in one body with the first circular frame 42.
Protrusions are formed to be spaced apart in a certain interval on the outer periphery of the first circular frame 42, and the protrusions are engaged with a step portion 74 formed on the raised portion. Accordingly, the cooking article squeezing part 40 is detachably engaged with the crushing portion 62. Further, an elastic member 46 having a certain elasticity, preferably, rubber, silicon, or the like, is mounted on the inner periphery of the second circular frame 44. The second circular frame 44 is engaged with the inner surface of the drum cap 50. Further, the screw part 30 penetrates the first circular frame 42 so as to be in contact with the elastic member 46 of the second circular frame 44. Accordingly, the front end of the screw part 30 is elastically contacted with the elastic member 46, so that cooking articles such as vegetables or fruits moving with the screw part 30 rotated pass through the front end of the elastic member 46 and the screw part 30 due to a predetermined pressure so as to be discharged.
The filtering gauze 43 includes first and second frames 43a and 43c protruded from the first circular frame 42, a third frame 43b for incorporating the first and second frames 43a and 43c, and a second gauze 47 mounted in an opening formed by the plural frames 43a, 43b, and 43c. A member having a filtering function other than the filtering gauze can be mounted. The filtering gauze 43 has, preferably, the same shape as an entrance 29a of the discharging channel 29. Accordingly, the filtering gauze 43 can block the entrance 29a of the discharging channel 29, enabling the filtering function to be carried out.
Accordingly, in case that the cooking article squeezing part 40 is engaged with the drum 20, residue is prevented from being discharged through the discharging channel 29 since the filtering gauze 43 is positioned at the entrance 29a of the discharging channel 29 to filter the reside coming out of the cooking articles receptacle part 61.
In the meantime, FIG. 5 is a view for showing another juice extractor the Applicant has filed in advance which is different from the juice extractor as stated-above.
The discharging channel 29 and the cooking article squeezing part 40 with the filtering gauze 43 as stated above may be applied to the juice extractor of FIG. 5. Accordingly, juice is discharged through the same operations as the above juice extractor of FIG. 2.
Hereinafter, operations of the preferred embodiments of the present invention will de described in detail with reference to the attached drawings.
Referring to FIG. 2 to FIG. 5, in case that a user uses the juice extractor 10, the motor assembly 18 is first driven with the manipulation of the switches 12 of the main body 11. If the motor assembly 18 is driven, the screw part 30 is rotated. At this time, cooking articles such as vegetables, fruits, and so on are supplied into the drum 20 through the inlet portion 21.
The cooking articles passed through the inlet portion 21 is supplied into the cooking articles receptacle part 61 of the drum 20, and the cooking articles moves from the cooking articles receptacles part 61 to the crushing part 62 with the screw part 30 rotated.
At this time, cooking articles such as vegetables, fruits, and so on, containing much juice produce juice in the cooking articles receptacle part 61 so as to stay on the bottom of the cooking articles receptacle part 61. The juice stayed on the bottom of the cooking articles receptacle part 61 passes through the filtering gauze 43, and, in the operation, residue having sizes over a predetermined size is removed from the juice.
Juice passed through the filtering gauze 43 passes through the discharging channel 29 so as to be supplied to the crushing part 62. Juice supplied to the crushing part 62 is discharged out of the drum 20 through the outlet portion 25 formed on the bottom of the crushing portion 62. Accordingly, juice produced in the cooking articles receptacle portion 61 is discharged after supplied to the crushing portion 62 through the separate discharging channel 29 without the operation of the screw part 30, enabling an juice extraction of the juice extractor to be smoothly carried out.
In the meantime, cooking articles forwards moved by the screw part 30 is compacted against the inner periphery of the cooking article squeezing part 40 by pressure generated from the rotations of the screw part 30 to extract juice as a result. Accoidingly, the extracted juice stays on the bottom of the crushing portion 62 through the filtering gauze of the cooking article squeezing part 40, and the stayed juice is discharged through the outlet portion 25.
As stated above, juice produced from the drum can be smoothly discharged through the discharging channel.
As described in detail, the juice extractor according to the present invention has an advantage of enhancing a juice extraction efficiency since juice stayed on the bottom of the cooking articles receptacle portion is directly discharged through the discharging channel formed under the cooking articles receptacle portion.
Further, the juice extractor has another advantage of preventing residue from being discharged through the discharging channel by mounting a filtering gauze to the cooking article squeezing part.
Although the preferred embodiments of the present invention have been described, they will be understood by those skilled in the art that the present invention should not be limited to the described preferred embodiments, but various changes and modifications can be made within the spirit and scope of the present invention as defined by the appended claims.

Claims

1. A juice extractor, comprising: a main body;
a motor assembly mounted in the main body, and for generating a rotation force; a drum mounted at a side of the main body, and divided into a cooking articles receptacle portion into which cooking articles are put and a crushing portion for crushing and extracting juice from the cooking articles; a screw part mounted in the drum and rotated according to the rotation force transmitted from the motor assembly, and for moving and crushing the cooking articles; a cooking article squeezing part mounted on the crushing portion of the drum to enclose a front end of the screw part, and for squeezing the crushed cooking articles through mutual operations with the screw part; a discharging channel formed under a bottom of the drum and extended from the receptacle portion to the crushing portion, and for discharging juice stayed and collected in the receptacle portion through the crushing portion to external; and a filtering part incorporated on the cooking article squeezing part in one body and arranged to filter the crushed cooking articles on the entrance of the discharging channel formed under the bottom of the receptacle portion, and for removing residue contained in juice.
2. The juice extractor as claimed in claim 1 , wherein the discharging channel is formed by extending to the crushing portion a depressed portion formed by depressing a lower portion of the cooking articles receptacle portion by a predetermined width in a peripheral direction of the drum.
3. The juice extractor as claimed in claim 1 , wherein the filtering part includes a filtering gauze having first and second frames mounted in one body with the cooking article squeezing part, a third frame for incorporating the first and second frames in one body, and a gauze mounted in an opening formed by the first, second, and third frames.
4. The juice extractor as claimed in claim 3, wherein the filtering gauze has the same shape as an entrance of the discharging channel so as to block the entrance of the discharging channel 29, enabling the filtering function to be carried out.
