Abstract

On décrit un appareil et un procédé destinés à un système téléphonique fondé sur le protocole Internet (IP) dans un scénario de facturation d'appelé et de troisième correspondant. Des serveurs IP agissent en tant que passerelles pour des appelants et exécutent des actions administratives et ministérielles qui permettent à l'appelé ou à un troisième correspondant d'être facturé. Dans un scénario représentatif d'appel international payable à l'arrivée, un utilisateur appelle une première passerelle à partir d'un téléphone pour initier l'appel payable à l'arrivée, l'utilisateur est alors accueilli avec un message enregistré lui demandant le numéro que l'utilisateur est en train d'appeler et le nom de l'utilisateur ou d'autres données d'identification en vue de leur enregistrement et de leur reconnaissance. La passerelle code alors le nom de l'utilisateur et le paquetise pour l'envoyer sur Internet jusqu'à une passerelle éloignée, qui vérifie l'existence d'un numéro d'appelé facturable ayant un solde prépayé disponible ou un crédit utilisable. La passerelle éloignée envoie alors l'appel au numéro appelé par un réseau de commutation, ce numéro appelé étant, lorsqu'il répond, informé par la diffusion de l'enregistrement du nom de l'appelant demandeur. Le correspondant appelé peut refuser ou accepter l'appel, initier le transfert des informations de facturation à l'exploitant de centraux urbains compétent, d'autres arrangements de facturation effectués par l'appelant ou bien mettre fin à la communication.
