Abstract

Ce système, qui crée un index d'une vidéo stockée sur bande vidéo, comporte un enregistreur vidéo produisant un signal vidéo correspondant à la vidéo stockée sur la bande vidéo et ajoutant un index à la bande vidéo en réponse à une instruction. Un dispositif calculateur reçoit le signal vidéo, détecte une caractéristique prédéterminée d'après le signal vidéo, commande à l'enregistreur vidéo d'ajouter le marqueur vidéo à la bande vidéo en un point de la caractéristique prédéterminée et mémorise l'index. Ce dispositif calculateur commande également à l'enregistreur vidéo de faire avancer la bande vidéo jusqu'à un point donné, l'instruction générée comportant un index indiquant ledit emplacement. L'enregistreur vidéo reçoit cette seconde instruction et, en réponse, explore la bande vidéo à la recherche de l'index contenu par la seconde instruction puis fait avancer la bande vidéo jusqu'à l'emplacement de l'index.
