Abstract
The invention relates to a simple apparatus configured like a rod with wheels. The apparatus has been designed to be used by visually impaired people with the security that they will not stumble and to provide them with a high degree of freedom in their displacements without having to hold any heavy object nor make sudden zigzag movements as it is usually the case today.
Description
DETEC OR DE OBSTÁCULOS PARA INVIDENTES DETEC OR OBSTACLES FOR INVIDENTS
The inventor ignores the technical sector to which his invention belongs, as requested in section i) of rule 5.
OF THE INVENTION Apparatus or devices, even similar ones, are not known by the author of this invention, except for the traditional cane, the folding or the telescopic, which until now have been for the blind the best tool for walking.
OF THE INVENTION The present invention as reflected in the statement of this specification, refers to an apparatus that, while on the move, detects and locates any obstacle that the blind person encounters in its path, through the emission of acoustic tones, of so that if the obstacle is to the right of the blind, the device will emit a tone, if it is in the center or to the left, the tone that it emits will be different for each one, so that the blind visually relates sound to situation and acts accordingly avoiding the obstacle that at the time of sounding will always be three steps away.
The sounds can be perceived by the blind from their place of emission or through headphones.
