Abstract
Using the method, a media discontinuity is avoided through the linking of data stocks. A user who selects a link with, for instance, a telephone number receives a telephone connection to the corresponding addressee, said connection being invisible to the user, without being required to fall back on another medium, in this case, the telephone with input of the telephone number. A first data stock contains information content and a second data stock contains functional relationships for detecting the relevant service provider, whereby a link of these specifiable data stocks ensures a uniform information platform for the user.

Verfahren zur Verknüpfung von Datenbeständen eines Kommunikationsnetzes durch einen RechnerMethod for linking data stocks of a communication network by a computer
The invention relates to a method for linking databases of a communication network by a computer.
Netzbasierte Dienste, z.B. Online-Dienste, undNetwork-based services, e.g. Online services, and
Eine wachsende Anzahl an Diskussionsforen und Gesprächsmöglichkeiten (viaCommunication networks in general are important components of today's IT systems. The range of information available, for example, in local and international orld-ide-eb now includes almost all areas of life. A growing number of discussion forums and discussion opportunities (via
Chat channels) on the Internet (also in other networks) indicates that not only multimedia data is provided in this communication network, but that it is becoming increasingly important as a meeting place for a worldwide interest group.
A disadvantage of currently existing communication networks and network-based services (Internet, online service) is that only text and / or graphics are offered to the user in his search for information. For example, the user is forced to switch to the phone if he wants to dial a telephone number found. This creates a media break; the user must change his information medium manually.
Diese Aufgabe wird gemäß den Merkmalen des Patentanspruchs 1 gelöst .The object of the invention is to offer a user a uniform information platform that offers available communication services without media disruption. The object of the invention is also to link several databases together and thus to avoid the disadvantages mentioned above This object is achieved in accordance with the features of patent claim 1.
Ein Beispiel für solch ein Dokument ist eine Webseite (Webpage) im Internet, definiert in HTML (Hyper Text Markup Language) .“Document” is understood to mean an electronic document that contains electronic links that a user can choose to either go to another electronic document or to perceive the electronic service on which this link is based. An example of such a document is a web page on the Internet, defined in HTML (Hyper Text Markup Language).
By selecting, for example by clicking with a mouse, a keyword TELEPHONE NUMBER, the telephone number of an addressee is output by a link invisible to the user. In the same way, another keyword, e.g. TELEFONAT, not just an output of data, but a service is perceived, which in the case of the keyword TELEFONAT addresses a functional relationship via the underlying link. This functional relationship can be a program that addresses computer-specific hardware and tries to establish a telephone connection in a predefinable way. The predeterminable route can be a different communication network than the communication network currently used. It is crucial that the user who wants to perform the service (telephone call) does not have to make a transition to another medium in order to finally get to his desired telephone connection.
funktionalen Beziehungen die Informationsinhalte genutzt werden .The invention is a method for linking databases of a communication network by a computer, in which a first database contains information content and functional relationships are determined by a second database. The first database is linked to the second database by the functional relationships the information content is used.
So kann der ersteA further development consists in the fact that the first database contains personal data. So the first one
Data for one addressee contain one or more of the following entries: a) telephone number; b) video phone number; c) fax number; d) identifier of the video conference connection; e) ID of the application sharing connection and f) ID of the answering machine connection.
Another development of the invention consists in that an interface to communication services of the communication network is determined by the second database. For this purpose, the second database can provide one or more of the following functionalities: a) The telephone number of the addressee is selected, the telephone number from the first database being known for the respective addressee. b) A connection via videophone is established, the videophone number being known from the first database for the respective addressee. c) A fax is sent to the fax number known to the addressee from the first database. d) A video conference is set up, the connection of the video conference being known from the first database for the respective addressee. e) A connection to application sharing is established, the network connection of the computer being known from the first database for the respective addressee. f) An answering machine is used, the telephone number from the first database being known for the respective addressee.
A further development consists in performing, in addition to the communication network, the functionalities determined by the second database via a second communication network. The second communication network can be a telephone line, a local area network (LAN) or another computer network.
It is also a further development to use the second database to determine templates for the functional perception of a communication service. A (sample) communication service defined in this way makes use of variables from the first database and carries out a functionality according to the definition of the template (of the sample).
Ferner kann auch bei der Durchführung einer funktionalen Beziehung auf der Seite des Adressaten auf dieFurthermore, when carrying out a functional relationship on the side of the addressee, the
Informationsinhalte des Absenders zurückgegriffen werden.Information content of the sender can be accessed.
Another further development consists in determining security-relevant actions by means of the functional relationships from the second database, the respective functional relationships being carried out depending on the sender. The sender's data is also contained in the first database.
As part of an additional development, it is possible, depending on an authorization of the sender, which is defined in the first database, to obtain medical information from an addressee.
Retrieve information from an addressee, the type and amount of information by agreement are regulated. The type of agreement can also be defined in the first database.
It is also possible in the context of another development that the first database and / or the second database are distributed in the communication network.
Another development determines that the communication network is the Internet.
Further developments of the invention also result from the dependent claims.
Exemplary embodiments are illustrated in more detail with the aid of the following figures.
Es zeigenShow it
Fig.l eine Skizze, die kontextorientierte Dienstzugriffe darstellt, Fig.2 eine Realisierung kontextorientierter Dienstzugriffe im World-Wide-Web.Fig.l is a sketch that shows context-oriented service access, Fig.2 an implementation of context-oriented service access in the World Wide Web.
In order to avoid a media break, that is, a transition from one information service to another, see FIG. 1, a first database DB1 and a second database DB2 linked together. Information content IH is stored in the first data store DB1 and data on communication options and cooperation opportunities which have a relationship to the first data store are stored in the second data store DB2. In general, the communication and cooperation opportunities are referred to as functional relationships FB.
Direct (from element to element) or indirect (via other higher-level elements) exist between the individual entries in the two databases DB1 and DB2. Cross-relationships. Functional relationships FB on the individual computers of the respective users can be started and started up from a server.
It is thus possible to get a list of all participants based on an information entry and to communicate directly with one or more of the participants. It is also possible to obtain a list of the relevant information entries from a participant (or a communication partner). Thus, seamless "human-human" connections arise from several "human-information" relationships. Instead of the "human" component, another service can also act as a remote station, for example an order service.
Dies entspricht den funktionalenThe architecture described enables the service providers not only to present the information as multimedia data, but also to integrate references to services in relation to content and to make these available to users if required. This corresponds to the functional
Relationships FB that are linked to the information content IH. In the Internet example, this corresponds to a click on a "link" that represents a telephone number of the addressee. The functional relationship FB, here the selection with the number received via a predefinable communication network, is carried out via a reference PTR1. There is no media break for the user who wants to make the call. The service (telephone call) is provided to him from the communication network in which he made the call request.
Fig.l veranschaulicht die eben beschriebenen Beziehungen.
The following descriptions refer to the Internet as an example, but can be applied to any other communication network with corresponding properties. A sender ABS performs a service at the addressee ADR (see relations la and lb). If the sender ABS wants to make a telephone call to the addressee ADR, for example, without media disruption, he uses a first database DB1, which contains information content IH (see relationship 1c). A pointer PTR1 to the index 1X2 of a functional relationship FB, for example by clicking on the information content, is used to perceive the communication service (telephoning) associated with the information content IH (see relationships id and le). The communication service, ie the functional relationship FB, is defined in the second database DB2. According to this definition, the desired type of connection to the addressee ADR is established there via the relationship le. Accordingly, it is also possible to determine further data for the sender ABS for the communication service via a pointer PTR2, which points to a corresponding index 1X1 of the information content IH (see relationship 1f). It does not have to be exclusively data about the sender ABS, but any other data from other participants, depending on
Definition of the functional relationship FB, can be determined in this way.
