Abstract

The invention relates to an apparatus (1) for recording an information signal on a record carrier (7). The apparatus comprises a memory (13) for storing at least the information which gives an indication about the position on the record carrier of the beginning or the end of the recorded information signal. The apparatus (1) is provided with means for recording this indication information in an intermediate storage area (4) on the record carrier (7).
