Abstract
The supporting insert for window-panes (15) of multiple insulating glazings for windows, doors or the like has a particular cross-section enabling a better bending, sealing and filling with a desiccating material. Said cross-section comprises on the outer side of the glazing a hollow profile (2) connected to the inner wall (6) and which is narrower than a forked profile (3) on the inner side. These arrangements enable a superposition of a plurality of profiles with a reduced package volume and a faster filling with a desiccant material. Furthermore, the sealing of the window-panes (15) is improved since the profile area (2) which is narrower in bending conditions is not in contact with the window-panes (15).
Description
Abstandhalter für Isolierverglasung Spacers for double glazing
The invention relates to a spacer made of metal or plastic for panes for multiple insulating glasses for windows, doors or the like, according to the features of the preamble of the main claim.
Spacers of this type are known from DE-PS 29 29 544. This solves the task of not causing any visible deformations of the walls when bending such spacers in order to improve the seal between the glass panes and the spacer.
In practice, it has now been shown that there is still reason to improve the cross-sectional configuration of the spacers in order to facilitate and perfect the bending, to further improve the sealing of the spacers with respect to the glass panes and finally also to fill the cavities of the spacers with the to facilitate and accelerate moisture absorbing material.
The object of the invention is therefore to improve the known spacer in such a way that its handling is made considerably easier.
This task is solved with the characteristic features of the main claim. The spacer according to the invention is then formed from two profile sections of unequal width, which extend on both sides of the inner wall. The outwardly directed profile area, which has the closed cavity, is narrower than the profile area formed by the fork-shaped legs. Since the hollow profile area is also designed to be trapezoidal, there is a stackability of the spacers according to the invention, which can be driven so far by appropriate dimensioning of the profile cross section that the inner wall of one profile comes to rest on the outer wall of the other profile in the stack. However, there is also a significant acceleration in the filling process of the profile cavities with the moisture-absorbing material, because the filling can be carried out on a stack of spacers arranged in a row.
At the same time, the cross section of the profile according to the invention results in a significant improvement in the sealing effect between the glass panes and the spacer. The profile area formed by the fork-shaped limbs borders on the longitudinally running, inwardly recessed, groove-shaped groove into which a sealing profile, in particular in the form of a butyl profile cord, is inserted, on the outer surfaces of which the panes can come into contact with finds a natural barrier at the transition from the groove to the outer surface of the leg, which cannot be overcome. As a result, the sealant cannot advance along the legs of the spacer. However, the sealant can migrate or crawl outwards because of the smaller width of the hollow profile area and achieve an improved sealing effect because it is squeezed under the pressure of the adjacent panes. Finally, the longitudinally grooving, inwardly recessed groove-shaped groove, which lies in the neutral zone of the spacer profile, conveys an even further improved shape which arises when the spacer is bent, because the walls of the spacer enclosing the cavity are no longer able to be in direct contact with the glass panes reach.
Advantageous developments of the spacer according to the invention are disclosed in the subclaims, which also serve to improve the handling of the spacers during manufacture and assembly.
Es zeigen:Details of the invention are shown schematically and for example in the drawing. Show it:

Fig. 2 einen Querschnitt durch ein schmales Abstandhalter-Profil undFig. 2 shows a cross section through a narrow spacer profile and
Fig. 3 u. 4 cross-sections through spacer profiles with differently curved walls.
In all of the exemplary embodiments, the spacer 1 is divided into a closed hollow profile region 2 and into a fork-shaped profile region 3, which extend on both sides of an inner wall 6. The closed hollow profile area 2 is formed by walls delimiting the cavity 4, namely the outer wall 5, the inner wall 6, the two inclined walls 7 and the two lateral wall sections 8. The fork-shaped profile area 3 is formed by the inside wall 6 with the further protruding legs 9 of the side walls determined.
The width a of the closed hollow profile area 2 is smaller than the width b of the fork-shaped profile area 3.
The lateral wall sections 8 have grooves, which recess inward and pass through and are intended for receiving sealing means 16, in particular butyl profile cords.
The spacer 1 is designed in the Aυsführυngsbeispiel as an extruded hollow profile made of light metal, especially aluminum. However, it is also conceivable to obtain the similar profile shape by deforming metal strips. The use of extruded plastic profiles is also not excluded from the invention.
Zustand erreicht. In any case, the inventive design of the spacer 1 leads to the fact that after bending the profile only the outer surfaces of the legs 9 come into contact with the glass panes 15, whereas the walls 5, 7, 8 of the closed hollow profile region 2 because of the smaller width a in installed state at a distance from the disks 15. The profile cord 16 can therefore only deform outwardly when the disc 15 is pressed on and also when heated, by the mass becoming pasty when heated migrating towards the slightest resistance. In the direction of the center of the pane, the deformation of the sealant 16 is prevented by a barrier 17. Since the groove 10 is also in the neutral zone of the spacer 1, the bending process is not adversely affected, but at the same time an increase in the accuracy of shape in the bent Condition reached.
Die Stirnflächen 11 derA large number of spacers 1 can be stacked together by the legs 9 encompassing the hollow trapezoidal part 7 of the adjacent profile. The end faces 11 of the
Legs 9 are provided with bevels 12 which have the same angular position as the inclined walls 7 in the exemplary embodiment of FIG. 1. As a result of this parallel angle, good centered support is guaranteed without the risk of damage during transport. By appropriate dimensioning can be achieved that the outer wall 5 of one profile comes to rest when stacking against the inner wall 6 of the adjacent profile. This has the advantage that a large number of such spacers can be packed and shipped in a space-saving manner. It also opens up the possibility of filling an entire stack of such spacers together with the moisture-absorbing material, which leads to a considerable acceleration in production.
As is usual with spacers, the inner wall 6 has at least one continuous groove 18, which leads to the weakening of the wall. In this area of the wall weakening, perforations 19 or other openings are formed, which allow the window interior to be connected to the cavity 4 of the spacer for the purpose of moisture absorption.
In any case, it is advisable to dimension the wall thickness of the outer wall 5 larger than that of the inner wall 6. It is taken into account here that the outer wall 5 is subject to a high tensile stress during bending. Increasing their wall thickness means that cracks cannot occur when bending. Furthermore, the arrangement of webs 14, for example triangular in cross section, on the inside of the inner wall 6 is shown in FIG. These webs 14 bridge the tolerance between the connecting means 20 that can be inserted into the cavity 4 and the inner wall surfaces. Due to partial flattening or deformation of these webs 14, a tight fit is brought about when driving the connecting means 20 into the cavity 4. If the spacer 1 is bent from one piece, then only one connecting means 20 is to be provided in the joint area. With a multi-part composition of the spacer 1, there are a corresponding number of joints.
In the exemplary embodiment in FIG. 2, a substantially narrower spacer 1 is shown, in which the bevel 12 on the end faces 11 of the legs 9 need not be adapted to the inclination of the inclined walls 7.
In the example in FIG. 3 it is shown that the inner wall 6 and the outer wall 5 can be designed to be more or less curved. In the example in FIG. 3, the inner wall 6 is convex in the direction of the cavity 4, whereas the outer wall 5 has arches 22 in its edge regions which merge into the inclined walls 7. With the help of such curvatures 22 a constant wall thickness can be brought about under certain circumstances.
Instead of the bevels 12 according to FIGS. 1 and 2, in the example of FIG. 4, the end face 11 of the individual leg 9 is provided on the inside with a rounding 13, which likewise supports the centered support of the legs 9 on the
