SAMUEL M. DOWST, OF CHICAGO, ILLINOIS.
DESIGN FOR A GAME-BOARD.
Specification for Design.
Patented July 28, 1914.
Application filed May 22, 1914. Serial No.840,384. Term of patent 14 years.
To all whom it may concern Be it known that I, SAMUEL M. Dows'r, a citizen of the United States, residing at Chicago, in the county of Cook and State of Illinois, have invented a new, original, and ornamental Design for a Game-Board, of which the following is a full, clear, and eX- act description, reference being had to the accompanying drawing, forming a part hereof.
My invention relates to a design for a game-board which embodies a plan for golf course that is very pleasing and attractive in appearance.
In View of the size of the practicable game-board, and the reduced proportions of the same in the accompanying drawings, it was necessary to illustrate the same in two figures. I
In the drawings: Figure 1 shows a plan of the upper portion of a game-board embodying my new design. Fig. 2 is a plan of the lower portion of the same embodying my new design.
Referring to the drawings, it will be seen that my design consists of a diagrammatical view of a very picturesque nine hole golf course which shows a club-house in the center thereof and the teeing platform, the fairgreens and putting-greens of the golf links arranged in convenient order around the same, together with artificial hazards, and scenic and topographical features in connection therewith.
I claim The ornamental design for a game-board, as described and shown.
In Witness whereof, I have hereunto set my hand this 14th day of May, 1914.
SAMUEL M. DOWST.
Witnesses:
JOHN C. HALLENBEQK, FRANK D. THOMASON.
