DESIGN FOR A SPICE-MILL.
The Schedule referred to in these Letters Patent and making part ofthe same To all whom `it may concern Be it known that I, WILLIAM HASLAM, of the city of Philadelphia, and State of Pennsylvania, have originated a new Design for a Spice-Mill, of which the following is a full, clear, and exact description, reference being had to the accompanying drawings inakingpartnof this specification.
Figure 1, A represents the hase part of the uiill, the top of which is a heavy molding ofthe form coinhining;a{ hali` round and ogee-shape.
Fig. 1, B represents the end of base part of the mill, with round corners, paneled, the centre of end panel ornamented wit-h a heavy Elizabethan style shield.
Fig. 1, D is the side or drawer front, with molding around the edges and knob in the center of the same.
Figure 2, E represents the casing which incluses the machinery for the grinding of spices. Said easing is of circular form until near the top of' the base,
where it terminates with a short straight line, then with a hollow and a round combining, as shown in g. 2.
F, also a projecting socket in the centre of casing E, through which a shaft passes, connecting with ilywhcel, Figure 4, G.
Figure 3, H represents the hopper, of circular form, connecting with the casing as seen in lig. 2, E.
Fig. 4, G is the fly-wheel, with a circular rim with six arms attached, and hub to which the shaft is made fast, said shaft passing through casing, as seen in lig. 2, E.
