DESIGN FOR A FERRULE.

SPECIFICATION forming part of Design No. 35,504, dated December 31, 1901.

Application filed November 14, 1901. Serial No. 82,295- Term of patent 14 years.

To all whmn it may concern.-

Be it known that I, WILLIAM CRONK, a citizen of the United States, residing at Montour Falls, in the county of Schuyler and State of 5 New York, have invented and produced a new and original Design for Ferrules, of which the following is a specification, reference being had to the accompanying drawings, forming a part hereof, and in which Figure 1 is a side view of a ferrule, showing my design; Fig. 2, a plan view thereof, and Fig. 3 a front end view.

My ferrule is intended for use in connection with pruningshears and other tools where the tool proper is attached to a wooden handle, and the leading or material feature of my design consists of a hollow cylindrical body portion A, tapering somewhat from the end which receives the handle and flattened on two sides at B B at the end which receives the shank of the tool, this flattened end being also provided with a rectangular socket G, into which the shank of the tool is inserted, holes at D being provided to receive a rivet for fastening the shank in place.

Having thus described my invention, what I claim as new, and desire to secure by Letters Patent, is- V The design for a ferrule as herein shown and described.
