To all whom it may concern;
Be it known that I, ERWIN T. MUIR, a citizen of the United States, residing at Elgin, in the county of Kane and State of Illinois, have invented a certain new and original Design for a Side Section of a Corset, of which the following, in connection with the accompanying drawings, is a full, clear, and exact specification.
In the said drawings, Figure 1 is a perspective View of a side section of a corset em body ing my design. Fig. 2 is a plan View thereof. Fig. 3 is a plan view of the reverse side to that presented in Fig. 2; and Fig. 4 is an enlarged transverse section taken on the line 4 4, Fig. 2.
The leading features of my design consist of the short strips A B, arranged one on each side of the continuous strip C. The short strips A extend from one end of the corsetsection to within a short distance of the other end, and the latter ends of said strips are provided wit h transverse marginal pieces or hi n dings D, while the continuous strip G extends beyond the marginal pieces D from one end of the section to the other. The reverse side of the corset-section, as presented in Fig. 3, is plain, save for the longitudinal strips or lines of stitching C, which extend throughout the length of the section.
Having thus described my invention, what I claim as new therein, and desire to secure by Letters Patent, is-
The design fora side sect ion of a corset substantially as herein shown and described.
