DESIGN FOR A CLOCK-CASE.
The Schedule referred to in these Letters Patent and making part of the same.
To all whom it may concern Be it known that I, NICHOLAS MI'J'LLER, of the city, county, and State of New York, have invented or produced a new and original Design for Clock-Gases and I do hereby deolarethat the following is afnll and exact description of the same, reference being had to the accompanying drawings, and to the letters of reference marked thereon.

. The middle field of the pedestal a a, as represented in fig. 1, contains the pendulum-hole, with detachable cover, decorated with arabesqnes. On each side of the pendulum-hole there are rich arabesques. The side fields of the pedestal are at right angles with the front, and contain ornaments, as shown in fig. 2.
The middle field b 6 contains the dial-hole, encircled by ornaments, as shown in fig. 1. On each side of it are arabesques in has-relief.
The side fields are at right angles to the front, and are ornamented, as shown in fig. 2.
The top of the case is formed by an arch, whereon rests the upper part of the ornaments, as shown in fig. 2, consisting of a medallion of the late President Lincoln, framed by a wreath of immortelles, and entwined by ribbons, which join in a knot on the top of the frame, the Whole resting on branches of oak-leaves and laurel tied together.
What I claim as my invention, and desire to secure by Letters Patent, is
The design of the arabesques and ornaments of the pedestal, middle and side fields, combined to make a design for clock-cases, and separately the medallion of A. Lincoln, to gether with the frame thereof resting on the branches.
