DESIGN FOR A BADGE.
SPECIFICATION forming part of Design No. 27,318, dated July 13, 1897.
Application filed June 4, 1897. Serial 110.63%],47'7. Term of patent 3% years.
To all whom it nmy concern:
Be it known that I, CHARLES C. PENFOLD, a citizen of the United States, residing at Buffalo, in the county of Erie and State of 5 New York, have invented and produced a new and original Design for Badges, of which the following is a specification, reference being had to the accompanying drawing, forming a part thereof.
The accompanying drawing represents a face View of a badge embodying my design. The leading feature of my design consists of a horizontal bar surmounted by the figure of an American buffalo or bison at bay and I 5 a star-shaped pendant arranged below said bar.
A is the horizontal bar, B the figure of an American buffalo or bison at bay standing on said bar, and O the starshaped pendant, which is arranged below said bar and connected therewith by a ribbon D. As shown in the drawing, the pendant has the form of a five-pointed star surrounding a circular center E and is provided below the lower three points of the star with a cartouche or scroll F, which connects the lower three points of the star.
