DESIGN FOR A PLATE OR LIKE ARTICLE.
SPECIFICATION forming part of Design No. 23,136, dated March 20, 1894.
Application filed February 15. 1894. Serial No. 500,312.

Be itknown that I, CHARLES EDWARD HAVI- LAND, a citizen of the United States, residing at the city of Limoges, in the Republic of France, have invented and produced a new and original Design for a Plate and other Article, of which the following is a specification, reference being bad to the accompanying d rawings, forming part thereof,and in which Figure 1 is a top view of a plate bearing my design, and Fig. 2 is a section of same on the dotted line 22 of Fig. 1.
The leading features of my design consist of the ornamental configuration of the border for the outer edge of the rim of the plate, and the surface ornamentation on said rim.
In the drawings A designates the plate, and B the rim thereof, which rim has a scalloped outer edge both when viewed in plan, as shown in Fig. 1, and when observed at its side, as indicated in Fig. 2. Between the scallops at Term of patent 14 years.

What I claim is-- The design for aplate or other article, substantially as shown and described.
