.To all whom it may concern:
Be it known that l, WILLIAM T. Annunson, a citizen of the United States ot' America, residing at Brooklyn, in the county of Kings and State of New York, have invented new and useful 'Improve inents in Combined Athletic Shirts, ot which the following is a specilication.
This invention relates to combined athletic and swinnning shirts, and one ot the principal objects of the invention is to provide a shirt which will not interfere with the movements of the arins or legs and which will notscparate from the trunks and which will be held lirinly in position upon the body of the wearer.
Another object of the invention is to provide an athletic shirt having an extended portion in lront serving as a supporter and straps connected to the lower end of said projecting portion to pass around the thigl'is and be connected at the sides of the shirt to hold the garment in place on the body et the wearer.
Still another object of the invention is to provide a shirt which extends slightly below the waist line at the back and which is provided with a projecting supporter portion in front to which the thigh st aps are connected, said straps being crossed and provided with a cross strap connection having a centrally attached strap to be buckled to the center of the back portion of the shirt.
These and other objects niay be attained by ineans of the construction illustrated in the accompanying drawing, inu which,-
Figure l is a front elevation of a shirt inade in accordance with my invention. Fig. 2 is a rear elevation of the saine. Fig. 3 is a side elevation and partial section of the shirt.
Referring to the drawing, the numeral l designates the front ot' the shirt, and 2 is the back thereof. The front and back portions are each provided with a cut-out neck portion 3 and 4 providing shoulder straps 5. The arm seyes G are. curved from the shoulder straps 5 to a point at the sides ot the shirt. The front part of the shirt is provided with an extended portion T forming a supporter, and connected to the projecting portion 7 are the thigh straps 8, said straps heilig crossed and extended around the thighs and adapted to be connected to the buckles f) at the sides of the shirt. The thigh straps El are connected b v a cross strap 1.0, and attached centrallyT to the strap l0 is a vertical strap l1 adapted to be connected to a buckle 12 at the back oit' the shirt.
From the foregoing it will be obvious that a shirt nia de in accordance with in v invention will be easy to the wearer, will not interfere with the inovelnent of the arins or legs, will always be held down, will not be liable to separate troni the trunks and provides an integral convenient supporter.
I claim:-
A shirt provided with an extended front supporter portion, buckles secured to the side and central back portion of said shirt, thigh straps connected to the lower end of said extended front portion, said thigh straps being crossed and adapted to be connected to said buckles at the sides ot the shirt. a cross strap connected to the thigh straps, and a vertical strap connected to said cross strap and adapted to be connected to the buckle at the central portion back ot the shirt.
