To all whom it may concern:

Be it known that I, NATHAN ROSE, of Belmont, in

the county of Allegany, and State of New York, have invented certain new and useful Improvements in Pick-Handles; and I do hereby declare that the following is a full, clear, and .exact description thereof, reference being had to the accompanying drawings, and to the letters of reference marked thereon. which form a part of this specification, and in which;-

Figure l represents a perspective of the pick- 'handle;

Figure 2, a plan wiew, with triangular clamp removed; and

Figure 3, a perspective view of the triangulaiclamp removed.

Similar letters indicate like parts in all the figures.

My invention relates to improvements in pick-han- 4 dies; and tothis end,

It consists in a handle provided with a triangular clamp, as and for the purpose hereinafter specified.

To enable others skilled in the art to which my invention appertains, to make and use the same, I will now describe its construction and operation.

In the accompanying drawings- A represents the handle, made in the usual shape, and provided at one end with the mortise a.

This mortise is made to form an acute angle at its front end, the vertex ofthe angle beihg in the centre,

and its rear end forming 'an incl-ined plane, as seen in l l:In the mortise a is pivoted the triangular block b,

The handle A, provided with mortise a, in combination with the pivoted triangular block b, substantially in the manner and for the purpose described.
