As shown in through which the ends of bolts 11 may pass, the ends of-thesebolts being adapted to enter openings 18. provided in the wall of the opening in the safe for door 2.
Theautomatic time-lock 19 is secured to erate the lock to release' the bolts 20 at the desired time and permit them to be withdrawn from the openings 21 by a suitable spring provided for this purpose.

.With the arrangement of these locks here shown, that is, one mounted within the chamber 5 and the othe'r secured to the rear face of the door, the partsof the two locks are not so cramped as to render their operation any the less reliable, and yet space at the edge of the door, back from the edge of the door to within the safe available for the storage of valuables is not taken u by these locks.
