.MEDICINE-CASE.
Specification of Letters Patent. i
Patented Aug. 6, 190'?.
Applioation tiled October 25, 1906. Serial No.- 340,603.
Fo all 'woont tt may concern:
Be it known that I, ROBERT L. TM'Lon, a eitizon -f the United States, residing at Memphis, in the eounty of Shelby and State of Tennessee, have invented a new and useful Medicine-Case, of whit-h the' following is a speqiiication.
This invention has relation to medicine eases and it consists in thenovel construetion and arrangement ot' its parts as hereinafter shown and described.
The objeet of the iiivention is to provide a. ease t'or medieine bottles and vials ot' different sizes. The interior of the ease `is provided with a pair ot' partitions whieh are provided with registering pert'orations.
The vials and bottles tit within the said perforations and are thus spaeed apart. The bottom of the ease is provided with suitable padding or other enshioning material while the top ot' the raso is provided with bridging whieh is adapted to prevent the vials and bottles from moving longitudinally when the top of the easing is elosed down. i
In the aeeonipanying drawingz- Figure l isa top platt View ol the ease ill open position. FigA 2 is a transverse set-tional view ot' the easeielosed. Fig. il is a perspeetive View ot` a modified t'orm of the ease. Fig. t is a transverse seetional View of the form as shown in Fig. 3.
'lhe easing eomprises the lower or hotly portion l having the ehamfered ends 2, 2. 'Ihe padding 3 is arranged in the bot-tom ot' the body portion I as are also the partitions "i and 5. 'l`he said partitions 1' and 5 are provided h'ith vertieally registering perlorations (i wit-hin whieh ie bottles or vials 7 are slipped. The partition -t is t, tltstantially horizontal while the partition 5') is inelined from the rear side 8 ol the body l down to the trout side line thereol'. 'lhe eover lt) is hinged to the upper edge ot` the rear side ot the body l and is provided willi the rectangular end piet-es ll, ll whit-h overl-.tp the ellamlered ends 2, 2 el'ie body l when the said eover is tlosed down. y The said euvel' velosetl l0 is provided in its upper portion with the bringing l2 whieh entries down in elose proticimity to the upper ends of the bottles 7 when the cover l0 is elosed and prevents the said bottles frornmoving longitudinally 'out ofthe. periorations t ot` the partitions 4 and 5. The ends of the bridging l2 slip down within the inner sides of the eliamfered ends 2 ot' the body l. ity will thus be seen that a simple and eon.'enient ease is provided t'or medieines and that the ease may be transported from plat-e to plaee without danger ot' the bottles beeolninler disarranged or broken In the form ot' the invention as illustrated in Figs. i and Z2 the intermediate portion ot the bridging,r l2 is horizontally disposed when the eover i() is elosed and is designed to retain but one row of bottles 7 in place, while, in the form of the invention as illustrated in Figs. :t and t `the intermediate portion otl the bridging l2 is adapted to retain two rows ot' bottlesin place. Thus, it is apparent that the bridging may be so arranged at its different seetions to retain one or more rows ol bottles.
Having deseribed my invention what l Claim as new and desire to set-ure by LettersPatent is:A
ease ot' the ehurneter indieatetl eomprlainf.: a hotly: portion havint: ehatntered ends and a padded bottom. parttions extending." neross said body portion and lying: ist planes at an angle to eat-h other and havlnt: vertlealtr regtsterng.: perttn'ations arranged to reeeive hotties. a eover hinged to the rear side ot' the hotly portion and havl in; ends whteh overlap the eltatnt'eretl e'nds of the hotly portion and a bridging: lot-ated ln the upper portion thereof whieh tits between the ehnmt'ered ends when the rover is and retains the bottles held in the pert'orntltm's against displaeement.
In testimonil that l elnlni the toreuohn: as m own, l have hereto ntlixed my signature in the presenee of two \\l l t nesses
