Be it known that I, WILLIAM DOYLE, a

subject of the King of England 'and Ireland,

residing at New York city, in the county of New York and State of New York,.liave invented certain new an'duseful Improvements in Massage Instruments forApplyiiig Uintments, Lotions, &c., of which the fol-lowing more particularly for' an instrument for massagil'ig` the skin or scalp, while at the same time applying unguents, lotions, or other preparations to the surface treated.

The object of my invention is to produce a device which may be .conveniently held in the hand of an operator, which shall have an end or face peculiarly adapted to massaging the skin, and which shall be capable of holding asupply of themedicament intended to be applied and from .which it may be eX- truded as desired.

'To this end the invention consists inthe arrangement and combination of parts, as particularly set forth in the claims.
