A preferred form of the game apparatus will now be described with reference to the accompanying drawings, in which,
FIG. 1 is a plan view of a cross block with the alphabet (L),
FIG. 2 is a plan view of a cross block with the alphabet (A),
FIG. 3 is a plan view of a cross block with the alphabet (K),
FIG. 4 is a plan view of a cross block with the alphabet (E),
FIG. 5 is a plan view of a cross block with the alphabet (N),
FIG. 6 is a plan view of a cross block with the alphabet (O),
FIG. 7 is a plan view ofa cross block with the number FIG. 8 is a plan view of a cross block with the number FIG. 9 is a plan view of a cross block with the number FIGS. 10 to 12 respectively are views of cominoes to be placed upon cross blocks.
Referring to the drawing in detail, as illustrated in FIGS. 1 to 9 respectively, there are nine cross blocks designed with a cross formation which allow for clear vision of playing elements and ample room for playing dominoes upon cross blocks.
Within the center of the cross formation each cross block is labeled with one alphabet or number which identify cross blocks when used in a plurality of more than nine cross blocks.
The four spaces at each end of the cross formation are provided with two, three or four sets of dots of the same color upon same cross block, with only one set of dots in each space, and where dots are less than four sets upon a single cross block the remaining spaces are left blank.
Dots upon cross blocks are three different colors providing three groups of cross blocks and each group comprising three cross blocks, a group with 30 red dots in eight sets, a group with thirty five white dots in eight sets and a group with 35 black dots in eight sets. Thus a first cross block with the alphabet (L) in the center and two sets of red dots (2 and 3) in cross formation, a second cross block with the alphabet (A) in the center and three sets of red dots (2, 3 and 5) in cross formation, a third cross block with the alphabet (K) in the center and three sets of red dots (4, 5 and 6) in cross formation, a fourth cross block with the alphabet (E) in the center and four sets of white dots (4, 5, 5 and 6) in cross formation, a fifth cross block with the alphabet (N) in the center and two sets of white dots (2 and 3) in cross formation, a sixth cross block with the alphabet (O) in the center and two sets of white dots (4 and 6) in cross formation, a seventh cross block with the number (1) in the center and four sets of black dots (2, 3, 4 and 6) in cross formation, a eighth cross block with the number (0) in the center and two sets of black dots (5 and 5) in cross formation and a ninth cross block with the number (0) in the center and two sets of black dots (4 and 6) in cross formation.
As illustrated in FIGS. 10, l1 and 12, there are twenty four dominoes provided to be played upon cross blocks covering matching sets of dots, with each domino having one set of dots associated to one set of dots upon cross blocks and devided into three groups with each group having dots of a different color in the following manner, eight dominoes with red dots in sets of (2) (2) (3) (3) (4) (5) (5).(6), eight dominoes with white dots in sets of(2) (3) (4) (4) (5) (5) (6) (6) and eight dominoes with black dots in sets of (2) (3) (4) To utilize the game shown in FIGS. 1 through 12, all nine cross blocks (FIGS. 1 to 9) are placed together in square formation three cross blocks wide in each direction, and all 24 dominoes (FIGS. 10 to 12) are placed face down upon a flat surface and shuffled.
Each player take into their possession an equal number of dominoes and place face down or upright according to game instruction,
Each player take turn placing one domino at a time upon cross blocks covering one set of matching dots. All dots upon cross block must be covered by dominoes with matching dots before it is completed, Player covering last set of dots on cross block must take that cross block into his possession, but must leave incompleted cross blocks in the game until completed in the same order according to game instruction.
When all nine cross blocks have been completed and possessed by players, all players must count each dot upon cross blocks. Each dot on cross block is equal to one point. The total number of dots possessed by player will be the individual score. player with highest score will be the winner.
What I claim is:
l. A game apparatus comprising nine separate block members, each having a cross design on its face, with an alpha-numeric character in the center of the cross, and two to four sets of dots each disposed on one of the projecting arms of the cross, three block members having 30 red dots in eight sets, three .block members having 35 white dots in eight sets, and three block members having 35 black dots in eight sets; the apparatus further comprising 24 dominoes, each dimensioned to fit within a projecting arm of the cross design on said block members, each domino having a set of dots matching in number and color a different one of the sets of dots on said block members.
