PAPER BOX-BASKET.

SPECIFICATION formingpart of Letters Patent No. 265,985, dated October 17, 1882. Application filed August 24, 1882. (Model.)

To all whom it may concern:

Be it known that I, UHAS. B. SEABURY, of New York, in the county ot' New York and the State of New York, have invented an Improved Paper Box-Basket; and the following is a full and exact description ot' the same, explained by the accompanying drawings.

The basket is made ol a single sheet, B, of stout paper or other material scored for folding, as appears in Figure 1 in broken lines b, and folded in and around at the corners and sides, making the box shown in Fig. 2, having atriangular Hap,C,foldedagainsteach sideand secured to the sides, at or near the corners, by metal clips D, clamping over the edges ofthe llaps and the edges ofthe sides. Thestringand cover are arranged as shown in Fig. 2. The cord passes over the cover between the holes F, down through said holes, outward through holes E in the box, thence through holes G in the cover. Now, by grasping the ends ofthe cordv above the holes Gr the box is sustained and the 'cover is drawn down onto the box. Theendsofthestring may or may not he united.

rlhe box is carried by holding the ends 'u or the loop Y formed by uniting theends u; or the outside loop, Y, maybe turned down under the box, and the box-basket may then be carried by the inside loop, X. The ends of the cord may be united at any position relatively tothe box and cover, making an endless loop.

l. The combination of a box having holes in its sides, a cover having four holes, and a string passing over the cover between two of its holes and through these holes, thence through the holes in the box, and thence through the other two holes ofthe cover, as and for the purpose set forth.
