Abstract

A marked golf ball to aid a user with stance, focus and accuracy to enhance user performance includes a core with a center and at least one outer layer disposed around the center, and a plurality of markings affixed to the at least one outer layer along the X-axis, Y-axis and Z-axis of the core. The plurality of markings are oriented such that a first marking on the X-axis is aligned with the user's body to aid in the user's stance, a second marking on the Y-axis is aligned with a shooting target, a third marking on the Y-axis is aligned with a club, and a fourth marking on the Z-axis serves as the user's focal point.

Description

    BACKGROUND
  • The embodiments herein relate generally to golf balls. More specifically, the embodiments relate to golf balls that help golfers to improve their stance, focus and accuracy.
  • Golfers can improve their game performance by practicing their technique and form. In particular, golfers can improve the accuracy of their shots and puts by improving their stance and focus. Several existing marking tools allow a user to draw a line on a golf ball. This helps a golfer to line up the ball with a putting hole and/or club. However, these golf balls and marking tools are limited because they do not mark the ball to help the golfer to maintain a proper body stance relative to the ball and focus on the ball. The golfer can drastically improve his/her game performance by maintaining a proper stance relative to the ball and focus on the ball, in addition to a proper ball alignment with the shooting target and golf club.
  • As such, there is a need in the industry for a marked golf ball that overcomes the limitations of the prior art and enhances the golfer's stance, focus, accuracy and overall performance on the golf course.
  • SUMMARY
  • A marked golf ball configured to aid a user with stance, focus and accuracy to enhance user performance is provided. The golf ball comprises a core comprising a center and at least one outer layer disposed around the center, and a plurality of markings affixed to the at least one outer layer along the X-axis, Y-axis and Z-axis of the core, wherein the plurality of markings are configured to be oriented such that a first marking on the X-axis is aligned with the body of the user to aid in the stance of the user, a second marking on the Y-axis is aligned with a shooting target, a third marking on the Y-axis is aligned with a club, and a fourth marking on the Z-axis serves as a focal point for the user.
  • BRIEF DESCRIPTION OF THE FIGURES
  • The detailed description of some embodiments of the invention will be made below with reference to the accompanying figures, wherein the figures disclose one or more embodiments of the present invention.
  • FIG. 1 depicts a perspective view of certain embodiments of the marked golf ball in use;
  • FIG. 2 depicts a perspective view of certain embodiments of the marked golf ball; and
  • FIG. 3 depicts a front view of certain embodiments of the marked golf ball.
  • DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF CERTAIN EMBODIMENTS
  • As depicted in FIGS. 1-3, golf ball 10 is configured for use with club 22 and user 24. It shall be appreciated that club 22 may be any type known in the field such as a wood, driver, iron, wedge or putter. Golf ball 10 may be used by user 24 in any setting such as on a golf course, driving range, practice field, or the like.
  • Golf ball 10 comprises markings 12 and dimples 14. Golf ball 10 may be any type of golf ball in the field that comprises a core and one or more surrounding layers. Markings 12 are affixed to golf ball 10 along the ball's X-axis 16, Y-axis 18 and Z-axis 20. Each marking 12 comprises a circle with four lines connected to the perimeter of the circle, wherein each line extends into the interior of the circle and is oriented substantially perpendicular to each adjacent line. The lines of marking 12 help user 24 to orient golf ball 10 to a desired position.
  • Each axis of golf ball 10 has a pair of markings 12 affixed to opposing sides of golf ball 10. As such, there are a total of six markings 12 on golf ball 10, two along X-axis 16, two along Y-axis 18 and two along Z-axis 20. In a preferred embodiment, markings 12 are printed directly on golf ball 10. However, it shall be appreciated that markings 12 may be affixed to golf ball 10 using any alternative means in the field such as a sticker comprising an adhesive. Dimples 14 create air turbulence around golf ball 10, which reduces drag when the ball is traveling through the air. It shall be appreciated that golf ball 10 may comprise any number and sized dimples 14.
  • In operation, user 24 orients golf ball 10 such that a marking 12 on the ball's X-axis 16 is aligned with the body of user 24, a first marking 12 on the ball's Y-axis 18 is aligned with a shooting target, a second marking 12 on the ball's Y-axis 18 is aligned with club 22, and a marking 12 on top of golf ball 10 on the ball's Z-axis 20 is a focal point for user 24. User 24 can use any portion of markings 12 such as the lines to help orient golf ball 10 to a desired position. Once golf ball 10 is oriented in the desired position, user 24 can simultaneously adjust his/her body positioning and stance relative to marking 12 on X-axis 16, focus on the shooting target by use of marking 12 on Y-axis 18, align club 22 with marking 12 on Y-axis 18, and focus his/her eyes on marking 12 on Z-axis 20 as a focal point. As such, golf ball 10 serves as an aid to improve the shooting accuracy and overall performance of user 24. It shall be appreciated that golf ball 10 may be used for any type of golf swing such as a drive or a putt, and in conjunction with any type of club 22.
  • It shall be appreciated that the components of golf ball 10 described in several embodiments herein may comprise any known materials in the field and be of any color, size and/or dimensions. It shall be appreciated that the components of golf ball 10 described herein may be manufactured and assembled using any known techniques in the field.
  • Persons of ordinary skill in the art may appreciate that numerous design configurations may be possible to enjoy the functional benefits of the inventive systems. Thus, given the wide variety of configurations and arrangements of embodiments of the present invention the scope of the invention is reflected by the breadth of the claims below rather than narrowed by the embodiments described above.
