- 1. Field of the Invention
- The present invention relates generally to the field of plungers and more specifically relates to plungers comprising an ergonomically designed handle with an encompassing splash guard for use in plunging a toilet, thereby providing consumers with a cleaner, easier, and more efficient plunging experience.
- 2. Description of the Related Art
- Conventional plungers have a thin, vertical handle. Unfortunately, this configuration diminishes grip and results in awkward body mechanics and poor ergonomics. Also, the applied force of plunging can cause toilet water to splash up, potentially contaminating people's hands and the handle itself.
- In view of the foregoing disadvantages inherent in the known plunger art, the present invention provides a novel Splash-Free SaniPlunge. The general purpose of the present invention, which will be described subsequently in greater detail, is to provide a plunger comprising an ergonomically designed handle with an encompassing splash guard for use in plunging a toilet, thereby providing consumers with a cleaner, easier, and more efficient plunging experience. The features of the invention which are believed to be novel are particularly pointed out and distinctly claimed in the concluding portion of the specification. These and other features, aspects, and advantages of the present invention will become better understood with reference to the following drawings and detailed description.
- The figures which accompany the written portion of this specification illustrate embodiments and method(s) of use for the present invention, Splash-Free SaniPlunge, constructed and operative according to the teachings of the present invention.
-
FIG. 1 shows a perspective view illustrating a Splash-Free SaniPlunge according to an embodiment of the present invention. -
FIG. 2 is a perspective view of the Splash-Free SaniPlunge illustrating the recessed horizontal handle attached to the inside of the splash guard according to an embodiment of the present invention. -
FIG. 3 depicts a transparent view of the splash guard of the Splash-Free SaniPlunge according to an embodiment of the present invention. -
FIG. 4 is an in use view illustrating the splash guard protecting the hand of the user of the Splash-Free SaniPlunge according to an embodiment of the present invention. - The various embodiments of the present invention will hereinafter be described in conjunction with the appended drawings.
- As discussed above, embodiments of the present invention relate to a plunger and more particularly to a Splash-Free SaniPlunge comprising an ergonomically designed handle with an encompassing splash guard for use in plunging a toilet, thereby providing consumers with a cleaner, easier, and more efficient plunging experience.
- The Splash-Free SaniPlunge is an ergonomically designed plunger which provides greater power for plunging with less work and effort. The Splash-Free SaniPlunge provides better body mechanics resulting in quicker, cleaner, more effective plunging. The superior horizontal handle design increases push and pull strength; reducing bending and straining. As an added feature, the Splash-Free SaniPlunge is equipped with a slender conical guard which eliminates any splashing on the hands and handle, keeping both clean and dry, improving grip while plunging.
- The Splash-Free SaniPlunge improves the process of plunging a clogged toilet. This innovative product may comprise a traditional plunger with a vertical shaft transitioning into a hollow, conical splash guard. Recessed approximately 1″ from the top of the splash guard can be a horizontal gripping handle. The plunger can be offered in various sizes to accommodate user needs. The exact specifications may vary upon manufacturing.
- Referring now to the drawings
FIGS. 1-4 , the Splash-Free SaniPlunge comprising a novel product offers consumers a practical solution to the aforementioned challenges. As the name implies, the Splash-Free SaniPlunge encompasses a specially designed plunger comprising a sanitary splash guard with horizontal handle, vertical shaft, and rubber plunger with which to easily plunge a stopped up sink or toilet. The splash guard, handle, and shaft may be manufactured of heavy duty plastic material. - There are many significant benefits and advantages afforded by the Splash-Free SaniPlunge. Foremost, the Splash-Free SaniPlunge provides a protective sanitary splash guard for superior cleanliness and sanitation. The Splash-Free SaniPlunge dramatically improves grip and force while using only one hand. The Splash-Free SaniPlunge incorporates ergonomically superior design for easier faster plunging.
- The embodiments of the invention described herein are exemplary and numerous modifications, variations and rearrangements can be readily envisioned to achieve substantially equivalent results, all of which are intended to be embraced within the spirit and scope of the invention. Further, the purpose of the foregoing abstract is to enable the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office and the public generally, and especially the scientist, engineers and practitioners in the art who are not familiar with patent or legal terms or phraseology, to determine quickly from a cursory inspection the nature and essence of the technical disclosure of the application.
