Abstract

This present invention is a multifunctional alteration clip that quickly and easily alters the look of most clothing articles in seconds. One may create six designer looks with a set of two alteration clips. Clips may also be applied to scarves, hair, swimwear, dresses and shirts. Use for quick alterations, prevention of bra straps from showing, attach to garment as an eyeglass, sunglass or badge holder. Can be worn as a ring. Can be used to mark one's personal property.

Description

    BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION
  • The present invention of an alteration clip, illustrated in FIG. 1A, 1B, 1C and 1D, is an innovated line of small, multipurpose accessories, compromising a decorative jewelry clip that quickly and easily alters the look of most articles of clothing.
  • SUMMERY OF INVENTION
  • The invention is a line of hassle-free designer accessories that alters the appearance of clothing, allowing one to quickly go from casual to stylish. This innovative product comprises a decorative jewelry clip that expands people's wardrobes in seconds. Alteration clips create designer looks to shirts, dresses, bathing suits, scarves, lingerie, and a variety of other clothing items. Alteration clips allow people to quickly personalize an outfit with their own unique sense of style.
  • The multipurpose use of an alteration clip includes the following: it can be worn as a decorative hair clip, worn as a ring, or may be used as a button for shawls, sweaters, and shrugs. Also, the alteration clip can be attached to one's collar, creating a loop to slide the arm of your glasses through.
  • Alteration Clips eliminate the time and hassle associated with permanent alternations and sewing. Permanent alterations can be time consuming, costly, and do not leave people with style options. Alteration clips save time by reducing shopping and saves money by expanding one's existing wardrobe with new designs.

  • DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF INVENTION
  • In the above mentioned FIG. 1A illustrates the invention of an alteration clip, a line of hassle-free designer accessories that alter the appearance of clothing, allowing one to quickly go from casual to stylish. This innovative product comprises a decorative jewelry clip, measuring two and three quarters to three and a quarter inches in length.
  • The assembling of an alteration clip is in the same as a miniature beaded bracelet, using various closures as shown in FIG. 1B, FIG. 1C and FIG. 1D.
  • Upon the assembling of the alteration clip, a flexible beading needle is fastened to the clasp (FIG. 1B). The needle is beaded 2.5 to 2.75 inches, depending on the design and size of the the beads. The remainder of the needle is fastened to the opposing end of the clasp and completed by clipping off the excess needle.
  • Alteration clips are assembled in a variety of styles, colors, and designs as illustrated in FIG. 1B, FIG. 1C, and FIG. 1D, to suit individual preferences in three different clasps as illustrated in FIG. 1B the magnetic clasp, FIG. 1C the toggle clasp and FIG. 1D the claw clasp.
  • The purpose of an alteration clip with a magnetic closure (FIG. 1B) is intended for a quick and hassle-free application. Also, to increase the circumference of an alteration clip (FIG. 1B), connect a set of two magnetic alteration clips (FIG. 1B) together; this will allow an application for thicker fabrics and winter scarves.
  • The purpose of an alteration clip with a toggle clasp (FIG. 1C) or claw clasp (FIG. 1D) are intended for strength, illustrated in FIG. 6E, securely holding together purse straps and as illustrated in FIG. 4B accommodating tight fitting garments.
  • A magnetic alteration clip fits between a 6.75 to 7.25 ring size and can be worn as a ring which benefits a person with crippled fingers or arthritis as illustrated in FIG. 6A
  • Illustrated in FIG. 6B is an alteration clips applied as an eyeglass or sunglass holder by magnetizing an alteration clip to ones garment, creating a loop to slide the arm of the glasses through.
  • Illustrated in FIG. 4H is an alteration clip applied to a knitted shawl, allowing one to be hands free. This application can be applied to any perforated garment in the same as a button.
  • Illustarted in FIG. 3H, an alteration clip (FIG. 1A,) is applied around ponytails as a decorative hair clip.
  • FIG. 5A illustrates the application of an alteration clip keeping both flaps of a scarf together. The added weight from alteration clips allows the scarf to keep in place.
  • An alteration clips may be placed around a wine stem as a decorative marker, as illustrate in FIG. 6C.

Claims (3)

1. I claim this invention is an alteration clip that allows someone to quickly and easily alter the look of most clothing articles and/or make alterations in seconds.
2. I claim this invention is a multifunctional clip that can be used as a marker to identify one's personal property, such as, a brief case, luggage, purse or a wine glass.
3. I claim this invention may be used as a holder for badges, sunglasses or readers.
