Abstract
This invention relates to a bag, more particularly a diaper bag that provides versatility and convenience to a person allowing them to perform many tasks hands-free. The bag dispenses moist wipes and plastic disposal bags from the exterior of the bag when needed to clean hands for fast clean ups or for cleaning a baby during a diaper change. It also has a detachable pad which folds out from the diaper bag when attached. The pad can be used as a diaper changing pad, seat cushion, back rest, knee pad, or lap tray for eating on. There are compartments for holding extra diapers under the front flap allowing quick access to them without reaching inside the bag. It also has compartments for the caregiver such as compartments for a laptop and other electronic gadgets. It also includes a universal battery charger compartment for charging electronic gadgets.
Description
- This invention relates to a bag that allows tasks to be performed hands-free, more particularly a diaper bag with additional components to benefit the caregiver as well. A detachable diaper changing pad folds against the front of the diaper bag and folds out when time to change a child's diaper. There is a large exterior compartment on the front of the bag for holding baby powder, baby lotion and other necessities. Under the front flap are compartments designed to house extra diapers. Another exterior compartment houses a baby bottle. There is a compartment on the exterior of the diaper bag that dispenses moist wipes for fast clean ups of the child, caregiver, and surfaces.
- Additionally, there is a compartment that holds disposal bags used to dispose soiled diapers. These bags can also be used to dispose dog fesses when a pet owner is walking their dog and cleans up after their pet. There is a compartment for the caregiver's laptop and other electronic gadgets. Also, there is a universal battery charger compartment on the bag for charging the electronics.
- In the art of convenience and germ reduction provisions of fast clean ups are not always available. Childcare providers have to pack a diaper bag with all a child's necessities for when away from home. Because the necessities have to be accessed from inside the diaper bag they are difficult to retrieve. If the child needs a fast clean up the caregiver has to open the diaper bag. Often this requires releasing the child's hand to retrieve baby wipes from the interior of the bag. There's also a possibility of forgetting to pack the baby wipes in the diaper bag. Additionally, locating a clean and comfortable place to change a baby's diaper is not always possible. Neither is there easy access to the diapers without having to access them from inside the diaper bag. As one way of satisfying this need, the childcare giver can search for a restroom which hopefully has a diaper changing station. Remembering to keep a box of baby wipes in the bag is another concern. Restrooms are not stocked with paper or wipes suitable for cleaning a baby's tender and sensitive skin. In the reduction of germs people may carry a bottle of hand sanitizer. However, when dealing with a child and a fast clean up is needed this method is not easily nor quickly accessible. Another method a caregiver may use to clean a small amount of dirt off a child may be to apply saliva from their mouth. This method is unsanitary and could cause the child to become ill. It could even be deadly if the child was to contract influenza, salmonella, MERS, and other diseases.
- An object of the present invention is to provide convenience to caregivers of children allowing them to perform many tasks hands-free as they transport a child. Such as having quick and easy access to baby wipes for fast clean ups or diaper changes without opening the diaper bag. Also, easy access to extra diapers, soiled diaper disposal bags, diaper changing pad, and baby bottle. In addition, because of its extra compartments designed for the caregiver's personal and electronic items it eliminates the need for the caregiver to carry an additional satchel. One of the compartments holds a laptop, a second holds a cell phone, a third holds an ipod, a fourth holds pen and pad, a fifth is a larger compartment that holds a wallet and other items. Additionally, the bag also has a battery charger compartment for charging the caregiver's electronic gadgets. The detachable pad on the bag can be used as a seat cushion , food tray, knee cushion, head rest, pillow, or back rest.
- The above and other objects of the present invention are provided by:
- A bag comprising whose front exterior panel covers a detachable foldout diaper changing pad and has a large zipper compartment on its front outer cover. Three hollow compartments for housing diapers are located on the interior panel under the front exterior flap closure on the diaper bag. A compartment on the right exterior side of the diaper bag located above like compartment has one open end where said end dispenses moist wipes. A compartment on same said right side located below said compartment has one open end where said end dispenses disposal bags. A left exterior side compartment has one open end where said end is for inserting a baby bottle. A hollow compartment on the back of the diaper bag where said compartment is for housing a universal battery charger for charging the caregiver's electronics.
