  • FIG. 3 is a view of apparatus for automating production of the artificial eyelashes according to the present invention.
  • DETAILED DESCRIPTION
  • The present invention will be described with reference to the attached drawings.
  • FIGS. 1( a)-(h) show a process to produce artificial eyelashes according to the present invention.
  • Firstly, a basic paper 10 having a paper 11 and a plastic film 12 laminated on the paper 11 is provided. (FIG. 1 (a)) That is, as shown, the plastic film 12 is laminated on the paper 11 and the basic paper 10 is formed.
  • According to the present invention, it is preferable that the plastic film 12 is transparent and print may be made thereon as described below.
  • According to the present embodiment, a vinyl is provided as the plastic film 12 and it is laminated on the paper 11.
  • Next, the basic paper 10 is cut to have a shape of artificial eyelashes 80. (FIG. 1( b))
  • According to the present embodiment, the basic paper 10 is cut by means of a laser cutting machine which can process precisely.
  • The artificial eyelashes 80 have an adhesive part 8 and an ornamental part 88 connected to the adhesive part 8 and space S is formed as some part of the basic paper 10 is cut out and the remained part that is not cut out forms the shapes of the artificial eyelashes 80.
  • Generally, the adhesive part 8 is longitudinally straight and is stuck to the eyelash line of a user and the ornamental part 88 is connected to the adhesive part 8.
  • According to the present invention, the surface of the plastic film 12 is stuck to the eyelash line when the artificial eyelashes 80 are detached from the basic paper 10 and the adhesive part 8 is secured to the eyelash line of the user.
  • The basic paper 10 is arranged in a way that the surface of the plastic film 12 faces the eyelashes when the artificial eyelashes 80 are finished and then, it is cut to have the shapes of the artificial eyelashes 80.
  • With reference to FIG. 1( b), the paper 11 is on the front side of the basic paper 10 and the plastic film 12 is on the rear side and, if the cutting is made by this state to finish the artificial eyelashes, the plastic film 12 on the rear side should face the eyelashes.
  • This makes the adhesive part 8 of the finished artificial eyelash 80 naturally bent downwards so that when the adhesive part 8 is bent to correspond to the shape of the eyelash line, the bent shape is maintained.
  • Then, the basic paper 10 that is cut out and has the shapes of the artificial eyelashes 80 is rolled up with a hair perm paper 40. In this case, it is preferable to supply water to the hair perm paper 40. For example, water is sprayed on the hair perm paper 40.
  • The hair perm paper is the thing used to curl hair during the hair perm and can be purchased in the market. Generally, it is made of non woven fabric and Korean utility model registration No. 20-0433022 recites the hair perm paper enabling the rapid treatment.
  • According to the present embodiment, the hair perm paper 40 is provided and the water is supplied thereto by means of a spray. Then, the hair perm paper 40 is laid under the basic paper 10 which is cut out and they 10 and 40 are rolled up together as shown in FIG. 1( d). It is preferable that they are rolled up roundly by a pipe made from aluminum material.
  • Then, heat is applied to these rolled things and, in the present embodiment, they are placed in an oven 5 or in a heat air drying machine and get the heat to be dried as shown in FIG. 1( e).
  • According to the present embodiment, curl paper provided by Fuji Paper Chemical Company is used as the hair perm paper. 0.7 to 0.8 g of water is spread on the hair perm paper the size of which is 150 mm×140 mm. Heat is applied in the tunnel type heat air drying machine by the temperature of 120° C. for 2 minutes. By this, the hair perm paper 40 is all dried and the basic paper 10 is applied the heat not to have the laminated vinyl film 12 taken off.
  • Then, the dried basic paper 10 and the hair perm paper 40 are unrolled and spread and the basic paper 10 is separated from the hair perm paper 40 (FIG. 1( f)). After that, the artificial eyelashes 80 are detached from the basic paper 10 to be extracted (FIG. 1( g)).
  • In this case, the artificial eyelashes 80 extracted from the basic paper 10 are curled along the rolled direction and, especially, the ornamental part 88 is curled outwardly. This outwardly curled shape increases the ornamentation.
  • As described with reference to FIG. 1( c) to FIG. 1( f), the basic paper 10 which is cut out to have the shape of the artificial eyelashes 80 are rolled up with the hair perm paper 40 and they are heated together. As a result, the ornamental part 88 is curled and this increases the ornamentation.
  • As the hair perm paper 40 has low heat transfer rate and the basic paper 10 is heated with the hair perm paper 40 rolled together, the heat is slowly transferred to the basic paper 40 having the laminated plastic film 12 such as the vinyl. Accordingly, problem that the plastic film 12 melts is prevented. Further, as the basic paper 10 is contracted, the artificial eyelashes 80 can keep its curled shape for a long time. At this time, as the water is supplied to the hair perm paper 40 and then it is rolled up with the basic paper, the heat transfer rate is further lowered.
  • After the artificial eyelashes 80 are extracted from the basic paper 10, the adhesive part 8 is bent downwards as shown in FIG. 1( h) and the artificial eyelashes 80 the adhesive part 8 of which is bent downwards is completed.
  • In this case, the surface of the plastic film 12 in the completed artificial eyelashes 80 faces the eyelash line of the user and the adhesive part 8 keeps its shape that it is bent downward. If the surface of the paper 11 faces the eyelashes of the user, the adhesive part 8 tends to bend to the reverse direction.
  • FIGS. 2( a) and (b) show the completed artificial eyelashes 80 according to the embodiment of the present invention. The artificial eyelashes 80 has the adhesive part 8 stuck to the eyelashes of the user and the ornamental part 88 connected thereto.
  • In this case, as shown, the surface of the plastic film 12 in the adhesive part 8 faces the eyelash line.
  • According to the present invention, it is preferable that a double sided tape 77 is stuck to the beneath of the adhesive part 8, that is the surface of the plastic film 12. By means of the double sided tape, it is possible to easily stick the adhesive part 8 to the eyelash line.
  • Meanwhile, according to the present invention, the artificial eyelashes 80 have the surface of the paper 11 and the surface of the plastic film 12 and the degree of freedom in design is increased.
  • For example, the plastic film 12 has color through print and both of the paper 11 and the plastic film 12 can have the same color. In this case, the paper 11 and the plastic film 12 will be seen as integrated. In another case, their colors are different (for example, the color of the plastic film is gold or silver) and different colors are presented as the user opens or closes his or her eye.
  • FIG. 3 shows how to automate the process to produce the artificial eyelashes 80 according to the present invention.
  • The basic papers 10 are piled and each sheet of the basic paper 10 is moved to circular plate 6 by a vacuum suction machine 48. A blower 46 is provided to blow air between the basic papers 10 to prevent that they are stuck each other.
  • The circular plate 6 rotates to move the basic paper 10 to a laser cutting machine 90. The laser cutting machine 90 cuts the basic paper 10 and forms the shapes of the artificial eyelashes 80 on the basic paper 10. Then, the basic paper having the shapes of the artificial eyelashes 80 is moved along the rotation of the circular plate 6 and it is picked up by a vacuum suction machine 48′ and moved to the another position.
  • As described, the artificial eyelashes 80 according to the present invention use the material having the paper 11 and the plastic film 12 laminated thereon. Accordingly, its strength is improved and it has the excellent waterproof and moisture-proof compared to the prior artificial eyelashes simply made from the paper.
  • Also, as the surface of the plastic film 12 laminated on the paper 11 faces the eyelash line, the shape of the adhesive part 8 bent downwards is naturally kept.
  • Further, as the basic paper 10 is rolled up with the hair perm paper 40 and then the heat is applied, the ornamental part 88 is curved to increase the ornamentation and the curved shape is maintained for a long time.
  • Therefore, it is understood that the purpose of the present invention is fulfilled.
