Abstract

An inclination adjusting assembly for a seat of a chair includes a disk; two coupling blocks limited at a bottom of the disk; the two coupling blocks having threaded holes, respectively to be threaded to an adjusting threaded rod so that by threadedly moving the coupling blocks, one of the coupling block fixed to a retaining sheet of the disk; an upper end of each coupling block being formed with an inclined surface; a pad being movable along the two inclined surfaces; a control rod connected to the pad; a first end of the control rod being engaged to the pad; a second end of the control rod being connected to an engaging tube; the tube having a polygonal through hole; and a polygonal post combined to the disk; a section of the polygonal post penetrating through and tightly engaging with the through hole of the tube.

Description

    FIELD OF THE INVENTION
  • The present invention relates to chair, in particular to an inclination adjusting assembly for a seat of a chair.
  • BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION
  • To release the pressure between different muscles of the human body as one sits upon a chair, in mane different designs, the adjustment mechanism is provided to the chair. The adjustment ways include to adjust the elevation of the seat, the inclination of the back so that the user will feel easy. Or in some design, the pad for supporting the shoulders or heats or hands are provided. Furthermore, the joints between the chair back and the seat is provided to match the requirement of ergonometrics.
  • However, in sitting, the buttock will suffer from great pressures. If the pressure can be properly transferred to the legs, the user will feel more easy. This is to say the seat of the chair must be inclination-adjustable, while no prior art provides such function to the chair.
  • SUMMARY OF THE INVENTION
  • Accordingly, the object of the present invention is to provide an inclination adjusting assembly for a seat of a chair which can be connected to a bottom of a chair so as to adjust the inclination of the seat.
  • To achieve above object, the present invention provides an inclination adjusting assembly for a seat of a chair comprising: a disk combinable to the seat of a chair, or is a seat of a chair; two coupling blocks limited at a bottom of the disk; the two coupling blocks having threaded holes, respectively to be threaded to an adjusting threaded rod so that by threadedly moving the coupling blocks, the coupling blocks will move along a straight path so as the two coupling blocks move closely or far away from one another; one of the coupling block fixed to a retaining sheet of the disk; an upper end of each coupling block being formed with an inclined surface; a pad being movable along the two inclined surfaces by two inclined surfaces of the pad to contact the two surfaces, respectively; a control rod connected to the pad; a first end of the control rod being engaged to the pad; a second end of the control rod being connected to an engaging tube; the tube having a polygonal through hole; and a polygonal post combined to the disk; a section of the polygonal post penetrating through and tightly engaging with the through hole of the tube.
  • The various objects and advantages of the present invention will be more readily understood from the following detailed description when read in conjunction with the appended drawing.

  • DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF THE INVENTION
  • In order that those skilled in the art can further understand the present invention, a description will be provided in the following in details. However, these descriptions and the appended drawings are only used to cause those skilled in the art to understand the objects, features, and characteristics of the present invention, but not to be used to confine the scope and spirit of the present invention defined in the appended claims.
  • Referring to FIG. 1, the structure of the present invention is illustrated. The structure of the present invention is suitable for a chair. The present invention is connected to a bottom of a seat 21 of a chair 2 for adjusting the inclination of the seat 21. The action about the adjustment is illustrated in FIG. 2.
  • With reference to FIGS. 3 and 4, the views are opposite to views as the structure is used normally. The adjustment unit 1 of the present invention has the following elements.
  • A disk 10 is combinable to the seat 21, or the disk 10 is a seat 21 of the chair 2. Each of two lateral sides of the disk 10 is formed as a stop sheet 18.
  • Two coupling blocks 11, 12 which are limited at a bottom of the disk 10 (viewed from a normal use state). The two coupling blocks 11, 12 have threaded holes 110, 120, respectively to be threaded to an adjusting threaded rod 13 so that by threadedly moving the coupling blocks 11, 12, the coupling blocks 11, 12 will move along a straight path so as the two coupling blocks 11, 12 moves closely or far away from one another. One of the coupling block 11 is fixed to a retaining sheet 101 of the disk 10.
  • One embodiment of the adjusting threaded rod 13 is that one end of the adjusting threaded rod 13 connected to a switch unit 130. The switch unit 130 is further connected to an adjusting handle 131. The switch unit 130 serves to connect the adjusting handle 131 to the adjusting threaded rod 13 or to isolate the adjusting handle 131 from the adjusting handle 131. The structure of the switch unit 130 is known in the prior art and thus the detailed about the switch unit 130 will not be further described herein. Thus, the adjustment of the adjusting threaded rod 13 is controlled by the switch unit 130.
  • An upper end of each coupling block is formed with an inclined surface 111, 121. A pad 14 is movable along the two inclined surfaces 111, 121 by two inclined surfaces 141, 142 of the pad 14 to contact the two surfaces 111, 121, respectively.
  • A control rod 15 is connected to the pad 14. An upper end of the pad 14 is formed with a notch 143. A first end 151 of the control rod 15 is engaged to the notch 143 of the pad 14. In use, the pressure from the seat will cause the first end 151 of the control rod 15 to deeply engage to the notch 143 of the pad 14. A second end of the control rod 15 is connected to an engaging tube 16. The tube 16 has a polygonal through hole.
  • A polygonal post 17 is combined to the disk 10. Two ends of the polygonal post are welded to the two stop sheets 18 of the disk 10 so as to be interactive with the disk 10. A section of the polygonal post 17 penetrates through and tightly engages with the through hole of the tube 16.
  • To provide the function of adjusting the elevation of the seat, an elevation adjusting unit 3 is provided. The elevation adjusting unit 3 includes a stand tube 31. The stand tube 31 is able to combine with a movable end of a pressure lifting cylinder 4 (see FIG. 2). The stand tube 31 is connected to a first connecting tube 33. The first connecting tube 33 is further connected to a sleeve tube 32. Preferably, the sleeve tube 32 is further connected to a second connecting tube 33. A section of the polygonal post 17 loosely passes through the sleeve tube 32. Thus, the lifting or descending of the seat 21 will not affect the sleeve tube 32.
  • In the action of the present invention, the adjusting handle 131 will interact with the two coupling blocks 11, 12 so that the two coupling blocks 11, 12 move closely or far away from one another so that the pad 14 will move upwards or downwards along the two inclined surfaces 111, 121. Since the first end 151 of the control rod 15 is interactive with the pad 14, the second end 152 thereof will drive the polygonal post 17 to rotate with respect to the disk 10. By the adjustment unit 1, the inclination of the seat 21 of the chair 2 is finely-adjustable so that the user will feel comfortable and the pressure between the buttock and the legs of the user is adjustable to match the ergonometric requirement.
  • The present invention is thus described, it will be obvious that the same may be varied in many ways. Such variations are not to be regarded as a departure from the spirit and scope of the present invention, and all such modifications as would be obvious to one skilled in the art are intended to be included within the scope of the following claims.

Claims (6)

1. An inclination adjusting assembly for a seat of a chair comprising:
a disk combinable to the seat of a chair, or the disk being a seat of a chair;
two coupling blocks limited at a bottom of the disk; the two coupling blocks having threaded holes, respectively to be threaded to an adjusting threaded rod so that by threadedly moving the coupling blocks, the coupling blocks will move along a straight path so that the two coupling blocks move closely or far away from one another; one of the coupling block fixed to a retaining sheet of the disk; an upper end of each coupling block being formed with an inclined surface; a pad being movable along the two inclined surfaces by two inclined surfaces of the pad to contact the two surfaces, respectively;
a control rod connected to the pad; a first end of the control rod being engaged to the pad; a second end of the control rod being connected to an engaging tube; the tube having a polygonal through hole; and
a polygonal post combined to the disk; a section of the polygonal post penetrating through and tightly engaging with the through hole of the tube.
2. The inclination adjusting assembly for a seat of a chair as claimed in claim 1, wherein an upper end of the pad is formed with a notch; a first end of the control rod being engaged to the notch of the pad.
3. The inclination adjusting assembly for a seat of a chair as claimed in claim 1, wherein one end of the adjusting threaded rod is connected to an adjusting handle which is exposed out of the seat.

The inclination adjusting assembly for a seat of a chair as claimed in claim 1, wherein one end of the adjusting threaded rod connected to a switch unit; the switch unit is further connected to an adjusting handle; the switch unit serves to connect the adjusting handle to the adjusting threaded rod or to isolate the adjusting handle from the adjusting handle.

The inclination adjusting assembly for a seat of a chair as claimed in claim 1, further comprising an elevation adjusting unit; the elevation adjusting unit including a stand tube; the stand tube being able to combine with a movable end of a pressure lifting cylinder; the stand tube being connected to a first connecting tube; the first connecting tube being further connected to a sleeve tube; the sleeve tube being further connected to a second connecting tube; a section of the polygonal post loosely passing through the sleeve tube; and thus, the lifting or descending of the seat will not affect the sleeve tube.
6. The inclination adjusting assembly for a seat of a chair as claimed in claim 1, wherein each of two lateral sides of the disk is formed as a stop sheet; two ends of the polygonal post are welded to the two stop sheets of the disk so as to be interactive with the disk.
