Abstract
A balloon article is disclosed which includes a balloon doll and an air-blower. The air-blower is connected to a power source via an conduction wire. The article also includes a motion component that includes an anchoring element and a motion element. The motion component is fixed on the base of the balloon doll via the anchoring element. This component is also connected to a power source via a conduction wire. The motion element of the motion component is connected with a horizontal bar. Two pulling strings are fixed between the both ends of the horizontal bar and the both upper sides of the balloon doll. A heavy piece serves as a ballast and is fixed at the base of the balloon doll.
Description
- This claimed subject matter relates to toys and decorational articles. In particular, the claimed subject matter relates to decorational articles such as balloons, balloon toys, balloon ships, balloon airplanes and the like. These articles are frequently desirable because they are light and easy to carry but most are limited in function and shape.
- Embodiments of the claimed subject matter include balloon decorational articles which are comprised of a balloon doll, an air blower connected to a power source via a conduction wire, a motion component having an anchoring element and a motion element, a horizontal bar connected to said motion element, and two or more pulling strings between the ends of the horizontal bar and the upper sides of the balloon doll.
- In these embodiments, the motion component is fixed to the base of the balloon doll with the anchoring element and it is connected to a power source with a conduction wire so that the balloon doll may be placed in and out of motion. Additionally, ballast is fixed at the base of the balloon doll to provide stability to the doll. In other embodiments, the motion component also serves as a musical motion component. Some of these embodiments may be used with electrical based toys such as inflatable vehicles and the like.
- In other embodiments, the anchoring element includes two anchoring horizontal bars connected to the base of said balloon doll. In yet another embodiment, the balloon doll is moved by the motion component so that the doll is drawn back inwardly to form a “waist” in the balloon doll. In several embodiments, the air-blower is series-connected to the electrical motion component.
- Further aspects of the claimed subject matter will become apparent from consideration of the drawings and the ensuing description of the multiple embodiments. A person skilled in the art will realize that other embodiments of the claimed subject matter and appropriate substitutions are possible and as such the details of the embodiments can be modified in a number of respects, all without departing from the scope of the claimed subject matter. Thus, the following drawings and description are to be regarded as illustrative in nature rather than restrictive.
- The features of the claimed subject matter will be better understood by reference to the accompanying drawings which illustrate the embodiments. In the drawings:

FIG. 1 is a sectional view of the main components of an embodiment of the claimed subject matter; and -
FIG. 2 is a structural view of the electrical-toy motion component of an embodiment of the claimed subject matter. - With reference now to the various figures in which identical elements are numbered identically throughout, a description of various exemplary aspects of the claimed subject matter will now be provided.
- Embodiments of the claimed subject matter include a balloon decorational article which includes a balloon doll with an air-blower. The air-blower is connected to a power source via an conduction wire. The article further includes an electrical toy motion component or motion component that includes an anchoring element and a motion element. The motion component can be fixed on the base portion of the balloon doll via the anchoring element and the motion component is connected to a power source via a conduction wire. The motion element of the said motion component is connected to the balloon doll with a horizontal bar. One or more pulling strings can be used to connect the ends of the horizontal bar and the upper areas of the balloon doll so that when they are pulled or released, a motion effect is created. Additionally, a weighted or heavy section or piece can be used as ballast for the embodiment. This heavy section is attached to the base of the balloon doll.
- Referring first to
FIG. 1 , an embodiment ofapparatus 1 is disclosed showing the components of the embodiment. In the illustrated embodiment, a balloon decorational article includes aballoon doll 1 with an air-blower 2. The air-blower 2 is connected to a power source via a conduction wire so that it can be powered. The article further includes amotion component 3 that includes an anchoring element and a motion element. Themotion component 3 is attached to the base of theballoon doll 1 with the anchoring element. The saidmotion component 3 is connected to a power source via a conduction wire. The power source and/or conduction wire may be different or the same for theair blower 2 and themotion component 3. - The motion element of the
motion component 3 is connected to theballoon doll 1 with ahorizontal bar 4. Twopulling strings horizontal bar 4 and the upper areas of theballoon doll 1. Thesestrings balloon doll 1 to achieve a desired motion effect. Further, more than two strings may also be used to change the motion direction and subsequent visual effect of the movingballoon doll 1. - As shown in
FIG. 1 , the twopulling strings horizontal bar 4 and the upper or top areas of the sides of theballoon doll 1. The strings may be attached or positioned in any suitable location to the user. Aheavy piece 7 which has weight serves as ballast toballoon doll 1 and is affixed to the base of theballoon doll 1. This weighted piece may be attached in other areas in the lower region of theballoon doll 1 or it may be integrated within the lower portions of the material making up theballoon doll 1 so that the same ballast effect is obtained. - In this embodiment, the motion component can perform at least one of the three motions, namely vibrating, rocking or rotating. It may also perform two or more of the motions. The motion component can be used with various electrical-toy based embodiments to create movement of the embodiment. In one embodiment, motion may be achieved by using the motion component to move the middle portion of the
balloon doll 1 so that thedoll 1 can be drawn back inwardly to form the “waist” 10 of theballoon doll 1. In a similar fashion, various other portions of thedoll 1 or any other suitable component used with the article can be drawn back to form different effects. - In another embodiment, the motion component is a musical motion component which is used with one or more electrical based toy articles. In this embodiment, the motion of the
balloon doll 1 may be accompanied by music, which can enhance the user's experience and make the doll more lifelike. - Referring now to
FIG. 2 , a structural view of the electrical-toy motion component of an embodiment is illustrated. As shown inFIG. 2 , the anchoring element of themotion component 3 may include two anchoringhorizontal bars 8 and 9 which are also connected to the base of thedoll 1. - In this way, the
motion component 3 can be securely positioned to the base of the doll. In other embodiments, the weighted orheavy piece 7 can be constructed in the shape of a flat segment such as a flat board made of wood or any other suitable material. In these alternative embodiments, themotion component 3 can be fixed on the weighted components and the same objective of solidly fixing the component can be achieved. - In this embodiment, the air-
blower 2 is series-connected with the electricaltoy motion component 3. This connection allows the air-blower 2 and themotion component 3 to be conveniently controlled by a single switch (not shown). Also, while the previous embodiment is described as a single balloon doll, other embodiments may include two or more balloon dolls that may share the same or different bases. Additionally, a plurality of pulling strings can be fixed between both ends of the horizontal bars of the motion component and the upper sides of each balloon doll. - In another embodiment, the electrical
toy motion component 3 also includes a musical motion component. In this embodiment, the bottom of the electricaltoy motion component 3 has two anchoring horizontal bars that are connected to the base of the doll and the air-blower 2 is series-connected with the electrical motion component so that a single switch can control the air-blower 2 as well as themotion component 3. In use, the electrical-toy motion component 3 is attached to the base of theballoon doll 1 and two of the upper sides of theballoon doll 1 using two pullingstrings component 3 and the air-blower 2, the motion component will cause thedoll 1 to rock, rotate and / or vibrate, and the doll will dance as it is being pulled by the strings. Theheavy piece 7 serving as a ballast fixed at the base of the doll gives the article weight at the base in order to aid in keeping it balanced when moving while at the same time preventing it from falling down. Those skilled in the art will recognize that any suitable power sources and conduction or power wires may be used to power the motion controller and air blower.
Claims (6)
1. A balloon decorational article comprising:
a balloon doll;
an air blower connected to a power source via a conduction wire;
a motion component having an anchoring element and a motion element;
a horizontal bar connected to said motion element; and
two or more pulling strings between the ends of said horizontal bar and the upper sides of said balloon doll;
wherein said motion component is fixed to the base of said balloon doll with said anchoring element and connected to a power source with a conduction wire so that the balloon doll may be placed in and out of motion;
and wherein a ballast is fixed at the base of said balloon doll to provide stability to said balloon doll.
2. The balloon decorational article of claim 1 wherein said motion component is a musical motion component.
3. The balloon decorational article of claim 2 wherein said motion component is a musical motion component for electrical toys.
4. The balloon decorational article of claim 1 wherein said anchoring element includes two anchoring horizontal bars connected to the base of said balloon doll.
5. The balloon decorational article of claim 1 wherein said air-blower is series-connected to the electrical motion component.
6. The balloon decorational article according to claim 1 wherein said balloon doll is placed into motion so that said doll can be positioned inwardly to form a “waist” in said balloon doll.
