Abstract
An anti-vibration fan includes a frame, a bottom chassis and an elastic frame. The elastic frame includes a plurality of curved plate-like suspending arms, each having a first suspending arm section. An end of the suspending arm section has a bent section with a curved shape at its middle section, and an end of the bent section has a second suspending arm section. The bottom chassis includes a disc body and a plurality of protruding ribs extended upward from the disc body and connected to the first suspending arm section. The second suspending arm section is connected to a frame body of the frame, and the plurality of suspending arms form the elastic frame. After vanes are pivotally connected to the bottom chassis, the elastic frame cancels out the vibration force produced by the rotating vanes, so as to reduce noises and enhance the life expectancy of vanes effectively.
Description
- 1. Field of the Invention
- The present invention relates to a fan, and more particular to a frame structure of an anti-vibration fan.
- 2. Description of Prior Art
- As the computing speed of electronic components such as a microprocessor installed on a computer motherboard increases constantly, the temperature of the heat produced by the electronic components during operation becomes increasingly higher, and thus it is necessary to dissipate the heat produced by the electronic components by a heat dissipating device to assure a normal operation and a long life expectancy of the electronic components.
- In a heat dissipating device, heat dissipating fan is one of the necessary components used for dissipating the heat of a heat source absorbed by heat dissipating fins and maintaining a good heat dissipating circulation. Since the heat dissipating fan is installed on a heat dissipating fin module or a casing for the heat dissipation purpose, the vibration force produced by the rotation of the fan will be transmitted to the heat dissipating fin module or casing, and thus the heat dissipating fin module or casing will cause a resonance, and the connecting structure of the components of the heat dissipating device will be loosened to produce collisions and noises.
- To overcome the issue of the vibration force produced by the rotation of the fan, anti-vibration fans such as R.O.C. Pat. Publication No. 563849 and R.O.C. Pat. No. 1251138 are disclosed. The former installs a circular positioning slot on the casing of the fan, a vibration absorption pad installed on the circular positioning slot, and a clamp disposed on a substrate for connecting a fan casing module having the vibration absorption pad, and the vibration force produced by the rotating fan can be absorbed by the vibration absorption pad. The latter installs a damper and a damper seat between the fan and the heat dissipating fin module, such that when vanes of the fan are rotated, the damper and damper seat absorb the vibration force produced by the rotating vanes.
- Although both anti-vibration fan structures of the aforementioned patents can effectively absorb the vibration force of a rotating fan vane, the installation of additional anti-vibration structure is required, and thus the structure will become more complicated.
- In view of the foregoing shortcomings of the prior art, the inventor of the present invention based on years of experience in the related industry to conduct experiments and modifications, and finally invented a frame structure for an anti-vibration fan.
- Therefore, the present invention is to provide an anti-vibration structure combined with a frame of a fan to form an elastic frame, and the overall structure is simple and easy and requires no additional design of the anti-vibration structure. The elastic frame structure can be swung back and forth with the rotation of the vanes to effectively cancel out the vibration produced by the rotation of the vanes, so as to achieve the effects of reducing the vibration forces and noises produced by the rotating vanes as well as improving the life expectancy of the fan.
- To achieve the objectives, the present invention provides an anti-vibration fan, comprising:
- a bottom chassis, having a disc body, and a plurality of protruding ribs extended from the disc body;
- a frame, having a hollow frame body; and
- an elastic frame, comprised of a plurality of curved plate-like suspending arms, and each suspending arm having a first suspending arm section, and the first suspending arm section having a curved bent section extended from the first suspending arm section to a middle section, and a second suspending arm section extended from the bent section;
- wherein, an end of the first suspending arm section of the suspending arm is connected to the protruding rib, and the second suspending arm section is connected to the frame body of the frame, such that the plurality of suspending arms form an elastic frame for retaining a coil module and operating the fan.
- The features of the invention believed to be novel are set forth with particularity in the appended claims. The invention itself however may be best understood by reference to the following detailed description of the invention, which describes certain exemplary embodiments of the invention, taken in conjunction with the accompanying drawings in which:

Various substitutions and modifications have suggested in the foregoing description, and other will occur to those of ordinary skill in the art. Therefore, all such substitutions and modifications are intended to be embraced within the scope of the invention as defined in the appended claims.
