Abstract

A new method of calculation of the scores in a game based on each separate half's of the game. Two teams are involved in the game. The score range for a team for whole game is from 0 to 6 points.
For example, Team 1 and Team 2 play a football. The football game consists 2 half's by 45 min each.
Team 1 won first half of the whole game and got 3 points, Team 2 got 0 points because lose a fist halve of the game. It is mean that the winner in first half is team 1.
In the second half, team 1 has a draw with team 2. It is mean that both teams get 1 point because of draw result.
Totally Team 1 has 4 points for the game (for both halves) and Team 2 has only 1 point (because draw in second half).

Description

  • A new method of calculation of the scores in a game based on each separate half of the game. The method is applicable for different sorting games for example football, basketball, volleyball, water polo and hockey. The score range for a team in whole game is from 0 to 6 points.
  • In the present rules the points calculates based on result of both halves of the game. For example, the winner in football game receives 3 point and looser gets 0 for the whole game by the today rules.
  • If strong football team plays against a weaker, sometimes just enough to win a first part of the game and be more passive in the second.
  • After that the game became boring and not so interesting. By a new method of calculation that could not happened. Each of teams has equal chances to get more points. For example, team 1 and team 2 play a football. Team 1 won first half and got 3 points, but has a draw
  • in the second and receives 1 more point. Totally team 1 has 4 points for the game. The team 2 gets only 1 point for the whole game (0 for first half as a looser and 1 point for the draw in the second).
  • In the other way team 1 could win both halves and get 6 point for the whole game, or has a draw in both halves and has only 2 points.
  • This method has many advantages compare with present one:
      • the game will be more interesting
      • the result will be more unpredictable
      • even a weaker team has good chances to get more points at
      • least in the one of the halves
      • the teams will fight against each other with full energy
      • until the last second of the game
      • more visitors, more bets
  • It is a short and briefly explanation of my idea concerning a new method of score calculation.
  • I had contact a patent office in Norway and after some official preliminary investigation and consideration they made a decision that this type of ideas could not be patented in Norway and I was advised to contact United State Patent and Trademark Office.
  • I have enclosed a decision from Norwegian patent office in to my documents and ask United State Patent and Trademark Office to give me answer about possibility to patent my idea via your office.
