Abstract

This split-type room air conditioner absorbs the advantages of current split air conditioner and room air conditioner models. Our innovation makes it possible for a split air conditioner to be used in apartments and condominiums. We improved both air conditioner unit disadvantages. For example, a split air conditioner indoor unit is very flexible so that you can hang it up in the right place to get a good cooling balance, but the outdoor unit has a big size and is not feasible as a typical room air conditioner. And room air conditioners have a good size to fit pre-constructed apertures and window places, but only can be put in limited places (low level places), thus creating a cooling imbalance in the room and making too much noise. We did technological innovations to combine the advantages of both type air conditioners. We reduced the outdoor unit size thickness by ⅓. We have enhanced the cooling speed and reduced the noise level (db) of our room unit. We have already made a sample of such a split room air conditioner.

Description

    BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION
  • We studied current room air conditioners so that we could make technological innovations. We took away the evaporator coil, evaporator fans, and various electrical controls to reduce the thickness of a typical room air conditioner by ⅓. We kept the condenser unit parts to successfully connect split air conditioner indoor units.
  • BRIEF SUMMARY OF THE INVENTION
  • This split-type room air conditioner absorbs the advantages of current split air conditioner and room air conditioner models. We improved both air conditioner disadvantages. For example, a split air conditioner condenser unit (outdoor unit) has a big size and is not feasible as a typical room air conditioner. And room air conditioners can only be put in limited places (low level places), thus cooling only one room, creating a cooling imbalance in the dwelling and making too much noise.
  • We did technological innovations to combine the advantages of both type air conditioners and take away the disadvantages. On the one hand, we decreased the size of the condenser unit (outdoor unit) of the split air conditioner. Our innovation makes it possible for a split air conditioner to be used in apartments and condominiums. We have already made a sample of such a split room air conditioner. In addition, we have enhanced the cooling speed and reduced the noise level of our window air conditioner.
  • How can we bring a split air conditioner into apartment buildings and condominiums? A split air conditioner has two systems. One is called the indoor unit (evaporator unit), another one is called the outdoor unit (condenser unit). We improved traditional design by making the outdoor unit smaller than other models of the same BTU capacity. We took air conditioner condenser units and took away evaporator units to reduce the thickness of a typical room air conditioner by ⅓. We put one condenser unit in the front and another one in the rear between the condenser units. We set one condenser fan to make prompt and efficient cooling and save power. You can easily and safely install in the room or a pre-Constructed aperture because most walls are thicker than our unit. Also, we used sound insulation board to cover it. You cannot see the outdoor unit (it does not stick out) from inside the room, thereby saving space and looking beautiful. We successfully connected split air conditioner indoor units with outdoor units to make the split room air conditioner into a new product. By the way, it has a lower cost than a traditional central air conditioner.
  • In summary, we can bring a split air conditioner into apartment buildings and condominiums which lack central air conditioning. We can supply this new product to consumers. The goal is that customers will have more choice and an enhanced quality of life.
  • DETAILED DESCRIPTION
  • We innovated traditional room air conditioners. We kept the room air conditioner condenser unit including motor compressor, condenser unit, condenser fan, fan motor, starter, running capacitors, starting relay, filter, capillary tube, accumulator and necessary wiring. We took away the evaporator unit including the evaporator fan, grille, air filter, vent door and electrical control parts. We made a special outdoor unit by reducing the thickness of a traditional or typical room air conditioner by ⅓. We put one condenser unit in the front and another one in the rear between the condenser units. We used a condenser fan to make prompt and efficient cooling and save power. You can easily and safely install in the window or a pre-constructed aperture because most walls are thicker than our unit. Also, we used sound insulation board to cover it to decrease noise level (db). You cannot see the outdoor unit (it does not stick out) from inside the room, thereby saving space and looking beautiful. We used liquid line, suction line and power line to connect split air conditioner indoor units. Indoor units have an evaporator unit, blower motor, blower fan, main computer board and thermostat, and also have a remote control, timer switch, and auto fan, etc. By the way, it has a much lower cost than a central air conditioner.

Claims (1)

1. We want to bring split room air conditioners into apartment buildings and condominiums. We can supply this new product to consumers. The goal is that customers will have more choice and an enhanced quality of life. This air conditioner absorbs the advantages of current split air conditioners and room air conditioner models. We improved on the disadvantages of both types of air conditioners. For example, a split air conditioner condenser unit (outdoor unit) has a big size and is not feasible as a room air conditioner. And room air conditioners can only be put in limited places (low level places), thus cooling only one room, creating a cooling imbalance in the dwelling and making too much noise. We did technological innovations to combine the advantages of both type air conditioners. Our innovation makes it possible for a split air conditioner to be used in apartments and condominiums. We have already made a sample of such a split room air conditioner.
