Referring to the drawings, l() designates a bracelet, which is formed of two [separate parts 11, 12, which may be termed the upper and the lowerportion, and which `are secured together by locking zmechanismy comprising a clamp member 13 and a locky member-14'. The clamp member 13 is secured to the end of the lower strap portion 12,.andrinclude's a saddle 15 normally mounted to slide over the upper strap portionfllv and a bent -lever f clamp 16 which has extensions 1-7 pivotally mounted in suitable openings 18 :of the saddle` 15, anV eye 19-being provided on the clampv 16 for securing the end ofthe lower strap portion 12 thereto. As .shown by Figure 3, a movement of the vlower strap portion end away from the upper strapportion willl turn the clamp 16 and release the upperk strap portion 11, while a movement of the end of strap portion 12`toward the strap portion l1A will turn the clamp 16 portionbetween the clamp 16 and the saddle 15.

My improvedlocking. mechanism is not conspicuous, is instantly adjustable to provide a' desired length of the extensible bracelet, strap or the like, and securely clamps the two bracelet portions at one point and locks the two portions at another point.

While I have described one specific embodiment as illustrating theprinciples of my invention, changes both in structure and arrangementmay obviously be made without departing from the spirit of the invention '50 as defined in the appended claims.
