Each knife 30 is adjustable into proper relation with a knife 27 by so mounting each shaft so that it is shiftable a slight distance longitudinally in its bearing, the adjustment being fixed by a knurled nut 33 thereon which bears against one end of the'bearing. Each nut 33 hasga set screw 33 therein for securing it in adjusted-posh tions. i i i To hold the material to be trimmed in .proper relation to the knives 27 and 30, there is provided a pressure roller, such as 85 or 36, shaped on its periphery tofit the upper surface of the material to be trimmed. The roller is adapted to I pass down between knives 30 to hold the material onto knives 2T. Rollers 35 or 36 are replaceably mounted for rotation on an arm 37 carrying a spindle 88 for receiving either roller and secured therein so as to be adjustable longitudinally of the machine by means of a thumb screw 39 to properly fit betweenknives 30.
