. Our invention has for an object to provide a paper package and cabinet therefor, the

one cooperating with the other in such a manner that the sheetsjof paper are not only maintained accurately disposed and uniform as a package, but are so held that the lowermost sheet of the package. automatically assumes a position whereby it may be readily grasped and removed from the cabinet without affecting or destroying the relation between the remainingsheets. v 7

It has for a'further object to provide a cabinet having a discharge opening. formed by spacing ledges or supports for the paper package, each of which supports bears a definite relation to the package and maintains the latter effectively positioned to carry out the desired discharging operation.

The cabinet 1 is preferably provided with a door 2 which forms one side thereof and when open permits the package of paper to be easily located within the cabinet and operatively positioned for the removal of the sheets. At suitable points within the cabinet guide plates 3 are provided to insure the package being maintained properly alined within the cabinet but out of contact with the sides thereof in order to minimize friction.

6 designates a shelf formed at the lower end of the cabinet, preferably by bending the material of the casing and reversely turning the outer edge to form a rounded or cylindrical portion 7 to provide a smooth surface over which the sheets of paper may be readily drawn. It will be noted that the shelf 6 is upwardly disposed at an angle to the side of the cabinet and terminates adjacent the end of one of the tab portions of the folded sheets, this latter being more particularly described hereinafter. The por' tion 7 of the shelf 6 extends transversely of the cabinet from one side to the other and corresponds in length substantially to the length of the paper package, while opposite to this rounded edge there is a ledge 8 formed also by reversely bending the material of the casing. This ledge 8 also extends the length of the cabinet, thus forming with The less than the width of the shelf 6, and serves to support the side of the package opposite to the shelf 6. The function of thus arranging the supporting shelf 6 and ledge 8 will be seen by referring to the manner in which the package is built up or assembled.

In Fig. 4 is shown one of the sheets of the package folded in accordance with our invention and wherein 1O designates a median fold of the sheet whereby a double ply thickness of the sheet is provided. After folding the sheet along this median line the side edgesare again folded as shown at and 12 to form tabs 13 and 14, the former in the assembled package being at one side of the package while the other is at the opposite side. By reference to Fig. 2 it will be seen that the tabs of each sheet are both preferably folded to the same side of the body of the sheet, and therefore when the successive sheets are placed in superposed relation a package of uniform appearance will be the result. When the package with the sheets so folded is placed within the cabinet, the shelf 6, forexample, will support the folded tab 14 throughoutsubstantially its entire length while the ledge 8 will serve to prevent the side of the package having the tabs lii'from dropping through the discharge opening 9. The ledge .8, however, is designedly of .isuch a width as to allow the greater portion of the length of the tab 13,
