Abstract

The invention relates to methods of oceanographic measurements for control of state of open water reservoirs caused by pollution of those and for monitoring of hydrological characteristics. Method of remote determination of characteristics of environment of an open water reservoir is in fact that the surface of the water reservoir is continuously radiated with laser in nadir, with registration of gleams of mirror reflection from the surface of the water reservoir, with measurement of spectrum of combinational scattering from water bulk of the water reservoir, by that one determines characteristics of medium of an open water reservoir. At instant of registration of gleam of mirror reflection from the surface of water reservoir one increases power of emission of laser to level that makes it possible to measure the spectrum of combinational scattering from water bulk of water reservoir. The invention provides increase of accuracy of determination of vertical distributions of characteristics of water environment under investigation.
