Abstract

The invention relates to the design of gates for extraction of fine heavy minerals such as gold, mercury by their gravitational sedimentation from the pulp flow and extraction of magnetic particles of magnetite, ilmenite, and iron as additional target products. A gate for extraction of heavy minerals from the pulp flow has: at least one main flow chute made from non-ferromagnetic material for passing the pulp flow inclined to the horizontal; a cellular catching mat laid on the bottom of main flow chute for catching and accumulation in the cells of the concentrate of heavy minerals; at least one set of cinematically connected hard nonferromagnetic templates of small filling of reciprocating motion and located between the sides of main chute over the mat; at least one additional chute inclined to the horizontal for removal of the ferromagnetic particles isolated from the pulp flow in the main chute; and at least one magnetic separator installed above the chutes with possibility of step-rotary motion and vertical reciprocating movement on the base of at least two controlled electromagnets for catching from the pulp flow in the main chute of ferromagnetic particles and their transfer and discharge into the additional chute. The gate significantly reduces the risk of co-deposition of particles of valuable heavy minerals and ferromagnetic materials and therefore is suitable for recleaning of banks of iron ore mining and processing enterprises, enterprises of ferrous metallurgy and coal-fired thermal power plants.
