The present disclosure generally relates to connectors with distal releases, and more particularly to narrow width adapters and connectors, such as narrow pitch Lucent Connector (LC) duplex adapters and narrow width multi-fiber connectors.

The popularity of the Internet has enabled the unprecedented growth of communication networks. Consumer demand for services and increasing competition have forced Internet providers to constantly seek ways to improve service quality while reducing costs.

Some workarounds include configuring high-density interconnect panels. High-density interconnect panels can be designed to ensure the ever-increasing interconnect volume required to support this rapidly growing network into a compact form factor, thereby increasing quality of service and reducing costs such as floor space and support surcharges. However, the configuration of high-density interconnect panels has not yet been fully realized.

In communication networks, such as in data centers and switching networks, most interconnects between mating connectors can be compacted to form high density panels. Panel and connector manufacturers can optimize these high densities by reducing connector size and/or spacing between adjacent connectors on the panel. While both approaches are effective for increasing panel connector density, reducing connector size and/or pitch also increases support costs and reduces service quality.

In a high density panel configuration, adjacent connectors and cable assemblies can obstruct access to independent release mechanisms. The physical obstruction reduces an operator's ability to reduce the stress placed on the cables and the connectors. These stresses are applied, for example, when a user enters a dense set of connectors and uses his/her thumb and forefinger to push the surrounding fibers and connectors apart in order to access a separate connector release mechanism. Excessive stress on these cables and connectors can create potential defects that compromise the integrity and/or reliability of these terminations, and can seriously disrupt network performance.

While an operator may attempt to use a tool such as a screwdriver to gain access to a set of dense connectors and actuate a release mechanism, the adjacent cables and connectors block the operator's view, making it difficult to remove the connectors without pushing them apart. Guide the tool to the release mechanism adjacent to the cable. Furthermore, guiding the tool to the release mechanism is a time consuming process even when the operator has a clear line of sight. Therefore, using a tool is not effective for reducing support time and increasing service quality.

Small Form Factor Pluggable Transceivers (SFPs) known as Ethernet switches and/or patch hubs are currently used in rack-mounted copper-to-fiber media converters in telecommunications infrastructure. ). Due to the limited space available for these infrastructure Ethernet and fiber connections, these devices are rapidly evolving to increase connection density. Although fiber optic connectors have become smaller and smaller over the years, they have not been designed to be smaller than the generally sized and readily available SFPs that need to be inserted. However, as transceiver technology develops, smaller SFPs will be used to create higher density switching and/or patch hub devices. Therefore, there is a need for fiber optic connectors that can meet the future development needs of smaller SFPs.

The various embodiments described herein provide a distal release mechanism that allows a user to remove cable assembly connectors that are closely spaced apart on a high density panel, without damaging the surrounding connectors, Accidental separation, uninterrupted transmission through surrounding connectors, etc. Various embodiments also provide narrow pitch LC duplex connectors and narrow width multi-fiber connectors for use with, for example, future narrow pitch LC SFPs and future narrow width SFPs. The remote release mechanism allows the narrow pitch LC duplex connectors and narrow width multifiber connectors to be used in dense arrays of narrow pitch LC SFPs and narrow width multifiber SFPs.

The SFP100 is configured to accommodate a duplex connector, and provides two sockets 102, each of which is used to accommodate an LC connector. The spacing 104 is defined as the interaxial distance between the central longitudinal axes of each of the two sockets 102 . FIG. 1B shows a perspective view of a conventional standard 6.25 mm pitch LC adapter 106 . The adapter 106 is also configured to receive a duplex connector, and provides two sockets 108, each of which is used to receive an LC connector. FIG. 1C is a top view of the adapter 106 of FIG. 1B . The adapter 106 spacing is defined similarly to the SFP 100 spacing as the interaxial distance between the central longitudinal axes of each of the two receptacles 108, as shown in FIG. 1D showing a front view of the adapter 106.

212。FIG. 2A shows a conventional LC duplex connector 200 that can be used with the conventional SFP 100 and the conventional adapter 106 . The LC duplex connector 200 includes two conventional LC connectors 202 . FIG. 2B shows another conventional LC duplex connector 204 having a distal release tab 206 and including two conventional LC connectors 208 . As shown, the distal release tab includes two pins 210 , each of which is configured to couple with the extension member 212 of each LC connector 208 . FIGS. 2C and 2D show top and side views, respectively, of the conventional LC connector 208 having a width of 5.6 mm, and further show the extension member 212 .

Various embodiments disclosed herein are configured for use with a future SFP, such as the narrow pitch LC SFP 300 shown in FIG. 3 with a pitch smaller than the conventional 6.25 mm and 5.25 mm pitches. As described further below, various embodiments use LC-type fiber optic connectors in a duplex configuration (with transmit and receive fibers), but with a connector interaxial distance that is smaller than conventional 6.25 mm and 5.25 mm pitches.

4.8 mm。According to another aspect, embodiments of narrow pitch duplex LC adapters are disclosed. 4A-4C show one embodiment of a narrow pitch adapter 400. According to aspects disclosed herein, the narrow pitch adapter 400 has sockets 402 on opposite ends thereof, and the sockets 402 are configured to mate with two narrow pitch LC duplex connectors. FIG. 4B shows a top view of the adapter 400 . Figure 4C shows a front view further showing that the adapter 400 has a 4.8 mm spacing. The adapter 400 is configured to receive a duplex LC connector, and a spacing of the adapter corresponds to the inter-axis distance between the LC connectors of the LC duplex connector. Although the adapter 400 has a 4.8 mm pitch, various embodiments of the narrow pitch adapters disclosed herein may have a different pitch than conventional adapter pitches, eg, less than 6.25 mm and less than about 5.25 mm. In certain embodiments, the spacing may be equal to or less than about 4.8 mm.

In addition to the need for narrow connectors, there is also a need to remotely unlock narrow connectors used in dense narrow SFP arrays. This is because it is nearly impossible for fingers to access the connector without interrupting service to adjacent fibers. While there are currently designs for remotely unlocking fiber optic connectors, as shown, for example, in Figure 2B, they have proven difficult to function as desired when inserted into the molded configuration typical of all SFPs. The molded SFP is not free of sharp edges and internal flash (burrs) that interfere with the normal flexing action of the plastic latches of the fiber optic connectors. Especially when the latch is actuated distally by a pull tab protruding a distance behind the connector to prevent fingers from interfering with adjacent fibers, interference between the metal edge and the burr can prevent the plastic latch of the fiber optic connector from fully latching join or disengage easily.

To make the latching/unlatching of the connectors relative to the SFP more reliable, various embodiments disclosed herein, such as the distal latch as shown and described below with respect to Figures 5, 7, 8 and 12 The components (pull tabs) add a spring force to ensure that the connector latches can return to the undisplaced position and thus become fully engaged within the recesses of the SFP.

4.8 mm。FIG. 5 shows one embodiment of a narrow pitch connector 500 according to aspects disclosed herein. The narrow pitch connector 500 includes two LC connectors 502 one duplex LC connector. Each LC connector 502 includes a ferrule 503 and an extension member or latch arm 504 . The connector 500 has a pitch of 4.8 mm, and the pitch is defined as the interaxial distance between the central axes of the LC connectors 502. In other embodiments, the connector pitch may be smaller than conventional connector pitches, eg, less than 6.25 mm and less than about 5.25 mm. In certain embodiments, the spacing may be equal to or less than about 4.8 mm.

The connector 500 further includes a housing 506 having a bottom housing 508 and a top housing 510 . The bottom housing 508 includes side walls 512 . In various embodiments, the housing 506 of the connector 500 can be a convertible housing. The side walls 512 can be configured to be openable to open the housing 506, for example to change the polarity of the connector 500. The side walls 512 may be raised toward the rear of the connector 500 as shown in FIG. 5 . One advantage of having the side walls 512 bulge toward the rear of the connector 500 is easier access. In other embodiments, the sidewalls 512 may be raised at another location.

The connector 500 further includes a pull tab 514 having a distal end 516 and a proximal end 518 . The pull tab 514 further includes a spring 520, and the spring 520 is configured to provide a force to return the connector latch arm 504 to the undisplaced position and thus become fully engaged within the recess of the SFP. The distal end 516 of the pull tab 514 can be pulled to remotely release the connector 500 from an SFP or adapter. The proximal end 518 of the pull tab 514 is uniquely shaped to engage the unique contours of the latch arms 504 of the narrow pitch LC connector 500 . The proximal end 518 engages the two latch arms 504 of the duplex LC connector 500 . That is, the proximal end 518 includes a single pin configured to engage the latch arms of the two connectors 502 . The proximal end 518 of the pull tab 514 has a plurality of outwardly projecting pins 522, and the pins 522 are configured to sit directly over the semicircular surface of the latch arm 504 of the duplex LC connector 502 and Swipe along it. The horizontal and rearward path directions of the pins 522 bend the semicircular profile of the connector latch arms 504 downward. Because the pins 522 are not received in the inclined grooves of the connector latch arms 504, the pull tab 514 can also be pushed down at a location directly behind the LC connectors 502, rather than by At a distal end behind the connectors, for example, the tab is moved rearward by being pulled by the distal end 516 . The action of pushing down one of the connectors' integral levers or latch arms 504 unlocks the connector 500 . In some cases, horizontal movement of the pull tab 514 may not be required. Thus, the connector latch arms 504 can be pushed down without causing a horizontal movement of the pull tab 514 .

6A and 6B show a top view and a side view of the LC connector 502 of the narrow pitch connector 500, respectively. FIG. 6A further shows that the LC connector 502 has a width of 4.6 mm. FIG. 6B shows the semicircular profile of the latch arms 504 .

514。FIG. 7 shows a partially exploded view of the narrow pitch connector 500 of FIG. 5 . The top case 510 is separated from the bottom case 508 . The pull tab 514 is coupled to the top housing 510 and is configured to slide longitudinally along the length of the connector. The top case 510 also includes a stopper 524 , and the stopper 524 is configured to receive the pull tab 514 .

FIG. 8 shows a further exploded view of the narrow pitch connector 500 . In detail, the pull tab 514 is shown separated from the top housing 510, and the spring 520 is removed from the pull tab. The pull tab 514 includes a longitudinal recess 526 configured to receive the spring 520, and at least one stopper 528 configured to hold the spring. The top housing 510 also includes a recess 530 configured to receive at least a portion of the pull tab 514 , such as the spring 520 and the proximal end 518 . In various embodiments, the pull tab can be coupled distally with the connector through the top housing.

FIG. 9 shows a perspective view of a conventional standard MPO SFP900. The SFP 900 is configured to receive a standard MPO connector and provides a socket 902 for receiving an MPO connector of a conventional width, as shown, for example, in Figures 10A-10C.

FIG. 10A shows a perspective view of a conventional MPO connector 1000 . As shown in FIG. 10B, the conventional MPO connector 1000 has a width of 12.4 mm. FIG. 10C shows a front view of the MPO connector 1000 .

11 shows an embodiment of a future narrow-width multi-fiber SFP 1100 in accordance with one aspect of the present disclosure. Various embodiments disclosed herein are configured for use with the narrow width multi-fiber SFP 1100 having a width less than that of the conventional MPO connectors, ie, less than about 12.4 mm. The narrow-width multi-fiber SFP has a socket 1102, and the socket 1102 is configured to receive a narrow-width multi-fiber connector, such as a narrow-width connector with an MT ferrule.

9.6 mm。FIG. 12A shows an embodiment of a narrow width connector 1200 according to aspects disclosed herein. The narrow width connector 1200 includes a multi-fiber MT/MPO ferrule 1202 to a multi-fiber connector. The connector 1200 includes two extension members or latch arms 1204 . In other embodiments, the connector may include at least one latch arm. The connector 1200 has a width of 9.6 mm, as shown in the top view of the connector 1200 in Figure 12B. In other embodiments, the connector width may be smaller than the width of the conventional multi-fiber connector, eg, smaller than 12.4 mm of the conventional MPO connector shown in FIG. 10B . In certain embodiments, the width may be equal to or less than about 9.6 mm.

The connector 1200 further includes a housing 1206 having a bottom housing 1208 and a top housing 1210 . The bottom housing 1208 includes side walls 1212 . In various embodiments, the housing 1206 of the connector 1200 can be a convertible housing. The side walls 1212 can be configured to be openable to open the housing 1206, eg, to change the polarity of the connector 1200. The sidewalls 1212 may bulge toward the rear of the connector 1200 . One advantage of having the side walls 1212 bulge toward the rear of the connector 1200 is easier access. The side walls 1212 can also be raised at another location.

The connector 1200 further includes a pull tab 1214 having a distal end 1216 and a proximal end 1218 . The pull tab 1214 further includes a spring 1220, and the spring 1220 is configured to provide a force to return the connector latch arm 1204 to the undisplaced position and thus become fully engaged within the recess of the SFP. The distal end 1216 of the pull tab 1214 can be pulled to release the connector 1200 distally by an SFP or adapter. The proximal end 1218 of the pull tab 1214 is uniquely shaped to engage the unique contours of the latching arms 1204 of the narrow pitch multi-fiber connector 1200. The proximal end 1218 engages the two latch arms 1204 of the multi-fiber connector 1200. That is, the proximal end 1218 includes a single pin configured to engage the latch arms 1204 . The proximal end 1218 of the pull tab 1214 has a plurality of outwardly projecting pins 1222, and the pins 1222 are configured to sit directly over and slide along the semicircular surfaces of the latch arms 1204. The horizontal and rearward path directions of the pins 1222 bend the semicircular profile of the connector latch arms 1204 downward. Because the pins 1222 are not received in the inclined grooves of the connector latch arms 1204, the pull tab 1214 can also be pushed down at a location directly behind the latch arms 1204, rather than by At a distal end behind the connector, for example, the tab is moved rearwardly by pulling the distal end 1216 . The action of pushing down one of the connectors' integral levers or latch arms 1204 can unlock the connector 1200. In some cases, horizontal movement of the pull tab 1214 may not be required. Thus, the connector latch arms 1204 can be pushed down without causing a horizontal movement of the pull tab 1214.

12B and 12C show a top view and a front view of the narrow width multi-fiber connector 1200, respectively. Figure 12B further shows that the connector 1200 has a width of 9.6 mm.

In the various embodiments described above, the narrow width connectors have a plurality of latch arms, and the latch arms are configured to engage a fixed or non-removable recess in a narrow width SFP or a narrow width adapter. In these embodiments, the pull tab of the connector moves the flexible latch arm of the connector to disengage the latch arm from the recess of the SFP or the adapter. For example, the latch arms flex downward when the pull tab is pulled back to separate the connector from the SFP or the adapter.

In other embodiments, as further described below with respect to, eg, Figures 13A, 13B, 14 and 15, the distal latch release pull tab can be assembled with a latch or a hook within the adapter or the SFP coupling. In these embodiments, the flexible latch arm of the connector is moved into the main cavity of the SFP or the adapter, and when the pull tab is in a normal position pushed forward by a spring, the SFP or the adapter The latch of the adapter engages a recess of the connector. The pull tab can be configured to have an inclined area such that when the pull tab is pulled back, the latch of the SFP or the adapter is lifted by the pull back pull tab, thereby allowing the latch of the SFP or the adapter to align with the pull-back tab. The connector is separated.

Figure 13A shows a narrow pitch multi-fiber connector 1300 inserted into a narrow pitch SFP 1302 such that a recess of the connector engages an SFP latch. Figure 13B shows the narrow pitch connector 1300 inserted into a narrow pitch adapter 1304 such that a recess of the connector engages a latch of the adapter.

14 shows a side view of the narrow width connector 1300 of FIG. 13A coupled with the narrow width SFP 1302. Details of this coupling are shown in circle 1400. Specifically, the SFP 1302 includes an SFP latch 1402 . The connector 1300 includes a recess 1404 . For example, the connector housing may include a recess 1404 . The pull tab 1406 may be spring loaded as described in various embodiments. This allows the pull tab 1406 to return to a position that allows the SFP latch 1402 to engage the connector recess 1404. When the pull tab 1406 is in its normal pull tab position pushed forward by a spring, as shown in FIG. 14 , the SFP latch 1402 engages the connector recesses 1404 .

15 shows a side view of the narrow width connector 1300 of FIG. 13A with the narrow width connector 1300 separated from the narrow width SFP 1302. Details of this separation are shown in circle 1500. The pull tab 1406 includes a tapered or inclined region 1502 . When the pull tab 1406 is pulled back in the direction of arrow 1504 as shown, the SFP latch 1402 is raised by the inclined area 1502 of the pull back tab, thereby connecting the SFP latch 1402 to the The device is separated, as shown within this circle 1500. The same effect described here in connection with FIG. 15 is also produced in other embodiments of the connector coupled with a narrow width adapter such as that shown in FIG. 13A.

Although Figures 14 and 15 show the connector coupled with a narrow width SFP, in other embodiments the connector may be coupled with a narrow width adapter having an adapter latch similar to the SFP latch. Additionally, while the embodiments shown in Figures 13A, 13B, 14 and 15 include a narrow width multi-fiber connector, other embodiments may include narrow pitch LC connectors.

16A-22 show various views and details of a narrow pitch multi-fiber connector, an SFP and its associated latching mechanism in accordance with various aspects of the present invention.

In some embodiments and as shown, the push-pull tab 2310 has a front portion 2314 located in a recess 2317 in the front body 2301 . Therefore, when the push-pull piece 2310 passes through the connector, as detailed herein, the front portion 2314 moves independently of the front body 2301 .

In one or more embodiments and as shown in Figure 24A, a CS connector may have an overall dimension width of 7.95 mm. Additionally, in alternate embodiments, the CS connectors may have a 3.8mm pitch. As described herein, the pitch is defined as the axis-to-axis distance between the central axes of the CS connectors 2450. Furthermore, as shown in FIG. 24B , when the push-pull piece 2410 is attached to the front body 2401 and the rear body 2404 , an embodiment may have a total dimension height of 10.46 mm.

As described herein, a connector (eg, a CS connector) may have a push-pull tab for easy insertion into and extraction from an adapter. Referring to FIGS. 25A and 25B below, in some embodiments, the push-pull piece 2510 can slide back and forth relative to the connector in a longitudinal manner, as indicated by the dashed double arrows 2511 . FIG. 25A shows an embodiment of the side portion 2512 of the push-pull piece 2510 contacting the rear body 2504 . The contact between the side portion 2512 and the rear body 2504 stops the forward movement of the push-pull piece 2510 .

In another embodiment, the push-pull piece 2510 can be moved away from the rear body by a distance 2513 of about 1 mm to about 3 mm. The push-pull piece 2510 may have a central protrusion (eg, 2314 in FIG. 23A ) in contact with the rear body 2504 . The contact between the central protrusion 2514 and the rear body 2504 can stop the rearward movement of the push-pull piece 2510 .

Referring to Figures 26A-C, a CS connector is shown in accordance with some embodiments. As described herein, the push-pull tab has a front portion 2614. In some embodiments, the front portion 2614 can include a tip 2630. The tip 2630 may include a slit or slot (not shown) that can slide over a portion of the front body 2601 to securely secure the front portion 2614 on the front body 2601 . In certain embodiments, the slit or slot may be large enough to accommodate movement of the push-pull tab as described herein. In other words, when the push-pull piece is pulled away from the front body (see FIG. 25B and corresponding description), the push-pull piece can slide along the front body (ie, FIG. 26C ), so the slit or slot must be large enough Moving the push-pull also ensures that one is actually attached in the non-retracted state (ie, Figure 26B).

As shown in Figure 27A and as described herein, one embodiment may include a spring 2708 (ie, Figures 23A, 2308). The spring 2708 applies a biasing force to the push-pull piece 2710 in the forward direction so that the grooves of the front body 2701 and the push-pull piece 2710 are aligned as described herein and as shown in FIG. 42 . As shown in FIG. 27A, the hidden lines show the spring 2708 within the push-pull tab 2710. In other embodiments, the push-pull piece 2710 may include a wedge portion 2731 . The wedge 2731 is configured so that it can snap into the front body 2701 and slide/pass the recess (see Figure 23A) as the push-pull piece moves along the housing (ie, the front and rear bodies). of 2317).

Referring now to Figures 28A/B/C, a CS connector is shown including cross-sectional views of various embodiments. 28A shows an example of a CS connector having two separate marked cross-sectional areas in accordance with certain embodiments. This first cross-sectional area (ie, X-X) is shown in more detail in Figure 28B. FIG. 28B shows how the wedge 2831 is snapped or connected to the front body 2801. It will be appreciated that the material strength of the wedge 2831 ensures a positive connection with one of the front bodies 2801 while also allowing the push-pull tab 2810 to move along the length of the front body 2801 as described in further detail herein. In addition to the wedge 2831, some embodiments may also have another positive connection device, and the other positive connection device includes one or more clips 2832 formed as part of the push-pull tab. In certain embodiments and as shown, the one or more clips 2832 are attached to and snap into the front body 2801 and positioned adjacent to the body 2804 after insertion into the front body. It should be understood that these are non-limiting examples and that various attachment means may be used to secure the push-pull tab 2810 to the housing. Specifically, the wedge portion 2831 and the one or more clips 2832 can be disposed at various other positions on the push-pull piece 2810 and at different positions on the front body 2801 and the rear body 2804 .

表1 參考符號 尺寸 (mm) 最小值 最大值 F1 6.5 6.7 F2 6.5 6.7 G1 3.8 G2 3.8 GA1 1.90 GA2 1.90 H1a,b 2.87 2.97 H2a,b 2.87 2.97 I1 3.7 3.8 I2 3.7 3.8 J1 5.75 5.85 J2 5.75 5.85 K 6.79 6.89 L 1.03 1.13 M 1.90 N 0.05 - P - 0.8 Q - 1.7 Ra - 1.25 S 0.55 0.75 T 4.0 4.1 U 0.3 V 1.4 1.5 W 2.7   Y 0.4 0.5 Z 3.7 3.8 AA 1.44 1.54 AB 4.35 4.55 AC1 0.5 AC2 0.5 AD 2.55 2.65 AF 9.24 9.38 AG 14.55 14.65 AI1 3.0 3.2 AI2 3.0 3.2 AJ 7.9 8.1 AK1 1.43 1.53 AK2 1.43 1.53 AL 90 AM 2.24 AN 2.65 2.75 AO 0 0.2 AP 2.1 2.3 AQ1 4.0 AQ2 4.0 AR 15.38 AS 0.5 BA 8.22 8.62 BB 0.2 0.4 BC 1.1 1.3 BD (0.75) BE 3.5 3.7 BF (1.2) BG 0.8 1.0 P’ 0.75 - Q’ - 1.15 AD’ - 2.3 CA 7.29 7.39 CB 1.65 1.75 CC 0.3 - CD 2.3 - CE (2.2) CF (2.95) CG 2.6 2.8 CH 2.45 2.55 CI 1.95 2.05 F’ 6.25 6.35 CJ 1.75 1.85 CK 5.35 5.45 CL 0.67 0.77 CM 1.95 2.05 The connectors disclosed herein (eg, CS connectors) can be inserted into an adapter (eg, a fiber port), such as a fiber array or server. 2910。It should be appreciated that various parts of a connector system (eg, CS connector system) can be adapted in many ways to suit various situations. A non-limiting example of these variations is shown in FIG. 29, which shows push-pull tabs 2910 constructed of different lengths.

The embodiment shown in Figures 30A, 30B and 30C shows an adapter that can accommodate various modifications. For example, and referring to Figures 31A, 31B, and 31C, in some embodiments, a detachable adapter modification (eg, the hook system of Figures 31B and 31C) can be inserted into the adapter shown in Figure 31A. The separable modification device, as shown in Figures 31B and 31C, may include a hook tip 3121 and a hook bevel 3122, or a plurality of either (eg, as shown, the modification device includes two hook tips).

It will be appreciated that the type and design of the separable modification device (ie, the interchangeable anchoring device) may vary. 32A, 32B and 32C provide an illustrative non-limiting example of one possible design for the interchangeable anchoring device. As described herein, in some embodiments, a detachable adapter modification (eg, the hook system of Figures 32B and 32C) can be inserted into the adapter shown in Figure 32A. The separable modification device, as shown in Figures 32B and 32C, may include a hook tip 3221 and a hook bevel 3222, or a plurality of either (eg, as shown, the modification device includes two hook tips).

In another embodiment, and as shown in Figures 33A, 33B and 33C, a detachable adapter modification (eg, the hook system of Figures 33B and 33C) can be inserted into the adapter shown in Figure 33A. The separable modification device, as shown in Figures 33B and 33C, may include a hook tip 3321 and a hook bevel 3322, or a plurality of either (eg, as shown, the modification device includes two hook tips).

FIG. 34 shows a dual adapter similar to that shown in FIG. 30A for accepting two connectors (eg, a dual ferrule CS connector), however, FIG. 34 includes two separable modification devices 3420. It should be understood that the various dimensions provided herein are for illustration only and that various other dimensions are possible in various embodiments. Figures 35A and 35B show specific cross-sections of the adapter shown in Figure 34, and therefore the marked dimensions of Figures 34, 35A and 35B are also listed in Table 1.

Referring now to Figures 36A and 36B, an illustrative example of a CS connector inserted into an adapter is shown. As described herein, the adapter shown in this illustrative example includes modifications to engage most portions of the CS connector as described in detail below. Figure 37 shows a CS connector inserted into an adapter. When the connector is inserted into the adapter housing, the modification device 3720 strikes and interacts with the CS connector. In certain embodiments, when the CS connector is inserted, the front of the CS connector contacts the hook bevel (3522 of Figures 35C, 3222 of Figures 32B and 32C, and 3322 of Figures 33B and 33C), and the hook bevel Raise the part of the modification device that interacts with the CS connector.

Still referring to FIG. 37, the movement of the modification device is shown in enlarged views 3731 and 3732. As shown, the hidden (eg, dashed) lines represent the contoured hook slopes 3122, 3222, and 3322, and the solid lines represent the contours of the hook tips 3121, 3221, and 3321. The hooks 3121, 3221 and 3321 are raised above the surface of the connector to allow the connector to be inserted into the adapter. After the connector reaches its intended destination within the adapter (eg, when a positive fiber optic connection is made), the hook tips 3121, 3221 and 3321 interlock with a recess 3709 on the connector. This interlocking action secures the connector within the adapter housing by the tabs during the push action.

38, it is important to note that the front portion 3814 of the push-pull piece 3810 moves independently of the front body 3801 as described herein. Therefore, the enlarged front portion 3814 of the push-pull piece 3810 can be aligned with the concave portion 3816 of the front body 3801 . In this configuration, the hook tips 3121, 3221 and 3321 can securely fasten the connector to the adapter. However, depending on the embodiment, the push-pull tab 3810 can be moved in a forward or rearward direction (see FIGS. 31 , 32 and 33 ) so that the recesses 3816 are not aligned with the push-pull tab recesses. When the front part 3814 of the push-pull piece 3810 moves and is not aligned, it interacts with the hook slopes 3122 , 3222 and 3322 through the slope 3815 . Thus, in some embodiments, moving the push-pull tab 3810 independently of the front body 3801 may allow the sloped region 3815 to apply a force to the hook slopes 3122, 3222, and 3322, thereby raising the hook tips 3121 , 3221 and 3321. After raising the hook tips 3121, 3221 and 3321, the connector can be safely removed by the adapter and/or transceiver.

BA’ a 8.7 8.9 DA 8.28 8.48 DB 7.45 7.6 DC 5.2 5.4 DD 5.5 5.7 DE 5.5 5.7 AG’ 13.75 14.05 AM’ 2.08 2.18 AN’ 2.08 2.18 AC’1 b - 0.5 AC’2 b - 0.5 Z’ b 3.32 3.72 AR’ c 6.88 7.28 DF c - 0.5 G’ 3.8 DG 6.86 7.06 J’ 5.5 5.7 DI 7.75 7.95 DJ (0.81) DK (3.57) DL (1.3) DM d 1.45 - DN (6.24) AA’ 1.4 1.6 AB’ 9.33 9.53 DO (2.92) DP (3.22) DQ a 5.14 5.26 T’ 3.3 3.4 H’ 3.0 3.2 AF’1 (2.80) AF’2 (2.80) AK’ 1.78 1.94 DR - 0.5 DS 1.60 1.72 39-41 further show enlarged and cross-sectional views of a connector that interacts with an adapter and/or transceiver. Using a CS connector results in a compact fiber embodiment and improved flexibility. For example, in some existing systems, as shown in FIG. 44A, a 200G transceiver module 4401 can receive an MPO connector 4402. The MPO connector can then be separated using another tool such as a fan-out 4403 or a cassette 4406. After the cable is disconnected, it can be connected to a 100G modular device (eg, an LC uniboot as shown) 4404. The 100G module device 4404 can then be plugged into a 100G transceiver 4405.

Alternatively, in some embodiments, and as shown in Figure 44B, the majority of CS connectors 4406 plug into a 200G transceiver module 4401. Each CS connector 4406 can then be independently connected to the 100 as shown in FIG. 44A, and a 200G transceiver module 4401 can receive an MPO connector 4402. The MPO connector can then be separated using another tool such as a fan-out 4403 or a cassette 4406. After the cable is disconnected, it can be connected to a 100G modular device (eg, an LC uniboot as shown) 4404. The 100G module device 4404 can then be inserted into a 100G transceiver module 4405.

The present disclosure is not limited to the specific embodiments described in this application to illustrate the various aspects. Many modifications and variations can be made without departing from the spirit and scope thereof, as will be understood by those of ordinary skill in the art. In addition to those listed herein, functionally equivalent methods and apparatus within the scope of the present disclosure will be apparent to those of ordinary skill in the art from the foregoing description. Such modifications and changes should fall within the scope of the appended claims. The disclosure is to be limited only by the language of the appended claims, and the full scope of equivalents to which these claims are entitled. It is to be understood that this disclosure is not limited to particular methods, reagents, compounds, compositions or biological systems, which may, of course, vary. It is also to be understood that the terminology used herein is for the purpose of describing particular embodiments and is not intended to be limiting.

To the extent that virtually any plural and/or singular terms are used herein, those of ordinary skill in the art can convert the plural to the singular and/or from the singular to the plural as appropriate to the context and/or application. Various singular/plural permutations may be expressly set forth herein for clarity.

例如,可了解該片語「A或B」包括「A」或「B」或「A與B」之可能性。It will be understood by those of ordinary skill in the art that, generally, and particularly in the scope of the additional claims (eg, the subject of the additional claims), terms used are generally intended as "open" terms ( For example, the term "including" should be read as "including but not limited to", the term "having" should be read as "having at least", and the term "including" should be read as "including but not limited to") . Although various compositions, methods, and devices are described as "comprising" various components or steps (read to mean "including but not limited to", such compositions, methods, and devices may also be "consisting primarily of various components and steps" "consists of" or "consisting of various components and steps," and this term should be read to define a generally closed group of components. Those of ordinary skill in the art will further appreciate that if the intent is a specific number of referral request statements, the Intent will be expressly stated in the claim, and in the absence of such recitation there would be no such intent. For example, as an aid to understanding, the following additional claims may include the use of the introductory phrases "at least one" and "one" However, even when the same claim includes the introductory phrases "at least one" and "one or more" and an indefinite article such as "a" (e.g., "a" should be read to mean "at least one" "a" or "one or more"), nor should the use of these phrases be taken to imply that introducing a claim statement by the indefinite article "a" would limit any particular claim that contains the restriction of the introductory request statement This is also true for the use of definite articles for introducing request statements. Furthermore, even if a specific number of introductory request statements are explicitly stated, those of ordinary skill in the art can Understand that the statement should be read to mean at least that stated number (eg, a bare statement of "two statements" without other modifiers means at least two statements, or two or more statements). In the case of a convention of at least one of B and C, etc.", the construction is generally expected insofar as the convention can be understood by one of ordinary skill in the art (eg, "a type having A, B, and C "At least one of" will include, but is not limited to, systems with A only, B only, C only, A and B, A and C, B and C, and/or A, B and C, etc. ). In situations where a convention like "at least one of A, B, or C, etc." is used, the construction is generally expected insofar as the convention can be understood by those of ordinary skill in the art (eg, , "a having at least one of A, B, or C" will include, but is not limited to, having only A, having only B, having only C, having A and B, having A and C, having B and C, and/or systems with A, B, and C, etc.). Those of ordinary skill in the art will further appreciate that any word choice and/or phrase representing two or more choice words should in fact be understood, whether in the description, The possibility of including one of these terms, either of these terms, or both terms can be expected to be included in the scope of the claim or in the drawings. For example, it can be understood that the phrase "A or B" includes " The possibility of A" or "B" or "A and B".

In addition, although the features and aspects of the present disclosure are described by means of the Markush group, those of ordinary skill in the art will understand that the present disclosure is therefore by any independent member of the Markush group. components or subgroup components.

As can be understood by one of ordinary skill in the art, all ranges disclosed herein also include any or all possible sub-ranges and their sub-ranges in any or all respects, such as providing a written description. combination. Any recited range can be readily recognized as sufficiently stated and such that the same range can be divided into at least two equal parts, three equal parts, four equal parts, five equal parts, ten equal parts, etc. As a non-limiting example, the ranges described herein can be easily divided into a lower third, a middle third, and an upper third. As will also be understood by one of ordinary skill in the art, all languages such as "at most," "at least," etc. include the stated number and represent a plurality of ranges that can then be divided into sub-ranges as described above. Finally, as can be understood by one of ordinary skill in the art, a range includes each individual component. Thus, for example, a group with 1 to 3 cells represents a group with 1, 2, or 3 cells. Similarly, a group with one of 1 to 5 cells represents a group with 1, 2, 3, 4, or 5 cells, and so on.

It should be appreciated that various of the above-disclosed and other features and functions, or alternatives thereof, may be desirably combined into many other different systems or applications. Various alternatives, modifications, changes or improvements that are presently unforeseeable or anticipated may be accepted by those of ordinary skill in the art, and the disclosed embodiments are also intended to include such alternatives, modifications, changes or improvements.
