Abstract

A method, system, and apparatus enables a network operator or vendor to dynamically trace (i.e., track) the resources utilized by a connection during all or any portion of the connection. When a call connection is initiated, each node involved in a connection detects the resources therein involved in the connection path. Furthermore, while the connection still exists, the nodes may continue to detect resource changes (e.g., additions, deletions, exchanges) in order to record them during, for example, the entire lifetime of the connection. During or after the connection, the detected utilized resources may be sent to a control and/or management center for display and analysis. The connection resource tracking results may be displayed in a number of ways, such as a chronological, icon-based graphical display; a tree-like, nodal-based graphical display that may be expanded or collapsed in order to focus the display on the connection portion of interest; etc.

Description of the invention (1) Background of the invention The present invention relates to the field of communication systems, and in particular, by way of example but not limitation, Continuous resource tracking is performed in the system, and the tracked resources are displayed at the same time or subsequently. Description of related technologies Access to wireless networks has become increasingly common for business, social, and entertainment purposes. Current wireless network users communicate with voice and data. In addition, these users need an array of continuously increasing services and capabilities, as well as continuous improvement in quality of service (QoS). In order to meet requirements, network operators and network vendors must continuously create or implement various features, most of which consume a lot of bandwidth. Designing, installing, and testing the infrastructure that provides these new services and capabilities is a costly and time-consuming task. To reduce the cost of improving the infrastructure, network operators and network operators (for example, during the design, installation, and testing phases) must verify the dynamic behavior of the hardware and software components of the traffic nodes in the telephone connection. Such situations include: operator certification for new hardware and software components, operator certification delivered by the new system, and operator and housekeeping for faulty component equipment. Traditional systems provide only minimal telephone tracking capabilities. For example, the Call Path Tracing (CPT) function in the Global System for Mobile Communication (GSM) standard can be achieved through a base station controller in the allocation of resources for the call. SUMMARY OF THE INVENTION The methods, systems, and equipment of the present invention can improve the shortcomings of prior art. For example, the benefit that has not been acknowledged so far is that it can provide a dynamic link tracking mechanism. In fact, when various sources are used in a call, the benefits are (i) it can be tracked when resources change during the connection, and (ii) it can be displayed at the same time or later. The purpose of the example of the present invention is to monitor the resource change of each hardware and software layer. For example, the monitoring of resource changes can be performed according to the condition of the phone, the time when a certain device is blocked, and mobile terminals (MTs) moving in the wireless network. Another object in the examples of the present invention is to monitor the dynamic configuration and release of connection paths for resources in multiple traffic nodes. According to the present invention, resources used can be continuously detected during the entire connection period or a part of the time period. In one example, once the telephone connection is initiated, the resource tracking trigger mechanism is activated at all relevant nodes. This resource tracking trigger mechanism dynamically detects changes in resources (eg, add, delete, change / replace) on each node during the entire connection. Tracked resource changes are recorded (eg, saved, transmitted, edited, etc.). This resource tracing continues until the connection is disconnected or an instruction to disconnect is received. -5- This paper size · Chinese National Standard (CNS) A4 specification (21G X 297 public love) (Please read the precautions on the back before filling this page) # Order: -line · 533705 Α7 ------- Β7 Printed by the Consumer Cooperatives of the Intellectual Property Bureau of the Ministry of Economic Affairs 5. A wireless network system in a multi-network environment 100 includes several components. These components include a wireless base station (radio ba se stations, RBSs) 115 (X, Y, Z), will communicate with MTs 120 and radio network controllers (RNCs) 110 (1, 2) according to the wireless communication method. Description of Invention (6) Network System 200. For example, the wireless network system 2000 can correspond to the wireless network shown in the multi-network environment 100 (Figure 1). The wireless network system 200 can operate according to many wireless network standards, such as the Personal Digital Cellular System (PDC) of the Japanese (RCR STD-27F) (officially known as the Japanese Digital Cellular System, JDC), General Mobile Communication System (GSM), Digital Advanced Mobile Phone System (D-AMPS), Code Division Multiple Access (CDMA) system, etc. The present invention can be implemented using the principles of any of the above systems (or other systems), but it would be better if it was done with Wideband Division Code Multiplexing (WCDMA). * For example, compared to GSM, the handover mechanism in WCDMA systems is more elaborate. For example, one MT 120 (B) may be associated with more than one RBS 115 (X, Y, Z.) and / or more than one segment in the same RBS 115 (X, Y, Z). connection. As the MT 120 (B) moves in the wireless network system 200, the resource graph will change accordingly. For example, when the MT 120 (B) applies for a QoS change request for an existing connection, the resource graph will change accordingly. Simply put, the more dynamic resource allocation in WCDMA systems complicates the resource graph and is therefore more difficult to understand. Therefore, in the Universal Mobile Telephone Service (UMTS) system, a verification action is needed from the time the connection is established to the time the connection is disconnected to ensure that resources are allocated and released as expected. The description of the invention, the special case in (7) can map the resources allocated in RBSs 115 (χ, γ, z) to RNCs 110 (1,2). Dynamically changing graphics. Continuing to refer to Figure 2, there are three mts 120 (A'B'C) 'in the wireless network system 200. However, there can be more MTs in a wireless network system 200. The MT 12 (A) will communicate with RBS 115 (X) through wireless communication, and the MT 120 (C) will communicate with rbS 115 (Z) through wireless communication. On the other hand, the position of the MT 120 (B) is a cross-over ground band between the cell units (or sections of two cell units) of RBSs 115 (X, Y), so the MT 120 ( B) Will communicate with rbSs 115 (X, Y) at the same time. The CN 105 in the picture has a common node 205. For example, the node may be a part of a signal and control network. There is also a control and management center (CMC) 210 connected to the CN 105 'or part of it. A terminal with a display 215 is connected to the CMC 210 'or part thereof. According to the present invention, the resources required to connect MT 120 (B) and MT 120 (C) (such as the RBS 115 (X), the RNC 110 (1) 'may be one or more in CN 105, RNC 110 (2) 'and node 2 0 5 in RBS 115 (Z)) will be tracked by the network operator or dealer (eg, executed in CMC 210 through the terminal and display 215). The invention also allows network operators or manufacturers to obtain allocated resources for a call in multiple traffic nodes. In this article, a call can be considered as several connections between MT 120 and CN 105. In this paper, a connection can be considered as a signal or logical connection between MT 120 and node 205 in CN 105. This connection provides a specific service between two access points. -10- This paper size is in accordance with Chinese National Standard (CNS) A4 specification (21 × 297 mm) (Please read the precautions on the back before filling this page) Order .. _ 线 _ 533705 Employees ’Bureau of Intellectual Property, Ministry of Economic Affairs Consumption Cooperative prints A7 --------- B7_____ V. Description of the invention (8) Next, referring to FIG. 7F 3, a network node 300 according to the present invention is shown. For example, 'the network node 300 will correspond to ^^^ u〇, RBS 115, common (CN) node 205, CMC 210, and so on. The communication bee 305 of the network node 300 (for example, an antenna in a wireless connection, a network switching device in a wired connection, etc.) transmits and receives signals and forwards the signals to a signal processor 310 (for example, a transceiver (Transceiver, TRX)). The signal processing fast 3 10 will forward the bluff to a data extractor 3 丨 5 (such as filters, de-fasting, etc.) for further processing (such as the fundamental frequency). The signal processor 310 and the data fetcher 315 are connected to a bus 32. The bus is connected to various components in the network node 300. For example, the controller 3M, the processor mo, and the memory ms are also connected to the bus 32o. It is to be noted that it is not necessary for an example in the present invention to have two processors (the controller 325 and the processor 33). However, according to the present invention, multiple processors (e.g., one, two, three, or more) are used in the network node 300. For those familiar with various network node standards, the examples in this network node 300 will be recognized. "One or more logic modules 340 are also part of the network node 300. One or more logic modules 340 will be designed and planned to the principles of the invention. In other words, the one or A plurality of logic modules 340 will be resident in the form of software in the memory 335 (other memories (not shown)) in order to plan the processor 330 to achieve the principle of the invention. In addition, the one or The multiple logic modules 340 will be completed in hardware in the controller 325 that reaches the principle of the invention (for example, the application integrated circuit (appu -11-this paper size applies to the Chinese National Standard (CNS) A4 specification (21〇x) 297 mm) (Please read the precautions on the back before filling this page) Order · Ϊ · -III, printed by the Consumer Cooperatives of the Intellectual Property Bureau of the Ministry of Economic Affairs 533705 A7 _B7_ V. Description of the invention, (9) specific integrated circuit ASIC)). For controlling / achieving the functions and / or operations of the network node 300, other hardware, software, firmware, hybrid forms, and implementations of the one or more logic modules 3 40 are implemented. In this post Included in the selection range are parts related to the principles of the present invention. In addition, the one or more logic modules 340 may represent one or more other resources 345. The other resources 345 may be a physical device, Such as a transceiver; a radio frequency (RF) transmission channel, such as a traffic channel assigned to the MT 120; an Internet Protocol address from an IP address pool, etc. The other resources 345 will be associated with The bus is connected at 32. Other resources M5 that will be tracked include: (i) In RNC, Packet Data Router (PDR), Common Channel (CC), Regional Wireless Connection (Regional) Radio Connection (RRC), signal connection, and user data connection (such as Radio Access Bearer, RAB); and (ii) a traffic connection entity between RNC and RBS. According to an example of the present invention, it is possible to Use the command to start the connection tracking. For example, for an MT, you can use the command to activate the trigger mechanism in the RNC that the call wants to set. When the MT After the connection is established in the RNC, the trigger mechanism for the same MT will also trigger the RBS node in the connection at the same time. In addition, a modified MT or a specially assembled MT will be included in its setting message. Contains a tracking trigger. Reference is then made to Figure 4A, which shows a message format 400 with a tracking trigger block according to the present invention. The message format 400 includes a purpose bit -12- This paper standard applies to the Chinese National Standard (CNS ) A4 size (210 X 297 mm) (Please read the precautions on the back before filling out this page). · Line-5 70 3 3 5 A7 — ^ __ —_BZ ___ 、 Instructions (1〇) Address box 405 (eg An address of a network node), a resource according to the present invention, vertical trigger block 410, a general block 415 (for example, representing an additional component in the message), and an information block 420 (for example, including control of a message load or Voice data or other types). For example, the message format 400 containing the resource tracking trigger block 410 will be transmitted from the CMC 210 to the RNC receiving a command to start the resource tracking. The Rnc then sends a different message format 400 to the RBS node in the connection. The resource tracking trigger block 410 includes various information related to resource tracking, such as the identification of the tracked connection, the node address to be transmitted by the tracked resource information, and the like. When the trigger mechanism in the RNC or RBS node (or other common nodes in the CN) detects the MT and the connected resource and the configuration or release, the resource change information will be transmitted to a function, This function sorts this information into an appropriate data structure (such as queue). As long as this function is effective, the detected resource changes will be transmitted to this function. For example, the function may be an application software (or other camera module) and it is a stand-alone device in the trigger mechanism (may also be a logic module). There will be a primary green function in the network to chase hard resource changes. The sequencing technique must allow each connection of any call in any traffic node to be easily captured (for example, graphically). There are many ways in which the detected resources change the organization of the integrated information. For example, every node in a resource chase connection will assign resources? Description of the invention (11) (Please read the precautions on the back before filling this page) The entire data structure is transmitted (eg using message format 400). The entire resource is transmitted while the signal load on the network is minimized. As shown in another example, when a resource change is detected, each node in the resource tracking connection will transmit each resource change (eg, using message format 400) to a "control" node (eg The RNC will first receive or send a tracking start command, CMC 210, etc.). When a resource change is detected, transmitting each resource change will increase the signal load on the network. However, when the resource change is received, the resource change can be displayed immediately (for example, on the terminal and display 215). . You can use other resources to change your teleportation skills. Regardless of the resource change transmission technique used by the connection, the detected resource change can be stored temporarily or permanently. Printed by the Consumer Cooperatives of the Intellectual Property Bureau of the Ministry of Economic Affairs. Referring next to Figures 4B and 4C, the figure shows a resource tracking structure 430 and 460 according to the present invention. The resource tracking structures 43 and 46 include a connection identifier 4 35, which contains information identifying the connection (such as the M τ, the phone, etc.). The resource tracking structures 430 and 460 also include information related to the connection (such as a telephone), for example, when the connection goes beyond the scope of CN i and enters the auxiliary network (such as IN 13 0, Internet 丨 3 5, General Internet 145, ISDN 140, etc.). The resource tracking structure 430 differs from the resource tracking structure 460 in the storage structure of the tracked resource. For example, at the time of each resource allocation and / or release, the tracked resource 445 (shown in Figure 4B) is stored chronologically, regardless of the location of the resource. Therefore, the registration of each resource includes a relative node identification. -14- This paper size applies the Chinese National Standard (CNS) A4 specification (210 X 297 mm) '--------- -533705
