Abstract
A method for driving a display composed of a plurality of pixels arranged in a matrix at intersections of row electrodes and column electrodes is described. Supplied to the row electrode on the i-th row is a signal V0fi satisfying for any where T is the time of a frame and the asterisk * denotes the complex conjugate. Furthermore, supplied to the column electrodes on the m-th column are signals Gm satisfying where N is the number of rows. The phase offset ai is determined for respective frames in accordance with the brightness to be displayed at the pixel on the i-th row and the m-th column.
