Abstract

Method and device for enabling alternative telephony connections, wherein a connection controller coupled to a PSTN device is adapted to receive information corresponding to a called number to which a PSTN device is intending to connect. Upon receiving the information, the connection controller is adapted to automatically search a database for an alternative VOIP destination associated with the called number.
