Abstract

Because recently the portable electronic and embedded devices are rapidly developed, the chargeable energy storage device, such as secondary battery and capacitor, becomes the major power supply system for these electronic devices. However, the charging problem usually causes these electronic devices to have limited applications, especially for the application of embedded device. Thus, in order to provide stable and continuous operation for these devices, the present invention provides a stable and fast method of wireless microwave charging for overcoming the limitation of conventional charging method. The present invention employs the rectenna to convert the continuous microwave emitted by the microwave generator into DC power, and charging the energy storage device with the converted DC power. The prevent invention can provide the wireless microwave charging to the energy storage device for the portable and embedded devices for stable power supply.
