The invention relates to medicine, in particular to surgical instruments intended for the drainage of cavities in diseases of the pleura and the lungs, the kidneys and the urinary tract, the liver and the bile ducts, and the soft tissues.

The aim of the invention is to reduce the trauma of the hollow organ by eliminating spontaneous prolapse of the tube and avoid repeated puncture.

1.FIG. 1 shows a trocar catheter, a general view; in fig. 2 is a section A-A in FIG. one; in fig. 3 - cap-cap; in fig. 4 — node I in FIG. one.

8.The trocar catheter contains an elastic tube 1 with a hole 2 in the side wall at the working end with a protruding screw thread 3 and an annular closed coil 4, a stylet with a protruding screw thread 5 of the pointed end 6 and a handle 7, a cap-stub 8.

Trocar catheter works as follows.

Under local or general anesthesia, a 0.5-cm-long incision is made at the point of intended insertion of the skin, and under the control of x-ray or computed tomography, the walls of the cavity and / or organ are pierced with a twisting motion until the end of the stylet penetrates their lumen. The correctness of the position of the end of the tube is monitored after the stylet is removed and a pathological pathway is obtained from its lumen.

The tube 1 is fixed to the skin according to one of the conventional techniques and serves for the active or passive aspiration of the contents and the administration of medicinal substances.

В итоге пребывание пациента в стационаре сокращаетс  в среднем на 4 дн .The use of a screw-threaded catheter trocar significantly reduces the incidence of complications during the procedure itself, and reduces the time required to perform it by 5-7 minutes. The increased reliability of the fixation of the tube in the tissues makes it extremely rare for it to spontaneously fall out and makes it possible to avoid repeated punctures. Sufficient sealing of the cavity helps to quickly and completely aspirate the contents and avoid unpleasant for the patient to seeping past the tube. As a result, the patient's stay in the hospital is reduced by an average of 4 days.
