Abstract
The invention is intended to evaluate the functioning of neurons in providing holistic behavior. The purpose of the invention is to increase the reliability of the method. The method is carried out as follows. Simultaneous video recording of the animal's behavior and the number of neuron pulses per unit of time is made, the neuron activity and video recording of the animal's behavior are compared, histograms of the neuron's impulsive activity are plotted and the properties of the neuron's impulsive activity are determined under conditions of free animal behavior. Synchronous video recording of the animal's behavior and the neuron's response in digital form does not require the use of stimulus marks and sensors of changes in the body activity that control the parameters of changes in the external environment or the state of the animal previously selected before the study, which increases the reliability of the results.

Изобретение относитс к психофизиологии , нейрофизиологии и может быть использовано в научно-практических исследовани х дл оценки функционировани нейронов в обеспечении целостного поведени .The invention relates to psychophysiology, neurophysiology and can be used in scientific research to assess the functioning of neurons in providing holistic behavior.
The purpose of the invention is to increase the reliability of the method.
The method is carried out as follows.
The video of the animal's behavior is recorded synchronously with the number of neuron pulses per unit of time, the recorded activity of the neuron is compared to the video of the animal's behavior.
Example. At the first stage of the study, the animal's behavioral activity, changes in the external environment in the experiment, pulsed neuron activity and time stamps were recorded using the PVM-508 video recorder, whose video camera was located opposite the front transparent wall of the experimental camera. For this, the neuron's impulse activity after amplification on the amplifier

UBF biopotentials 4-03 were transformed into standard electrical impulses using a standard electric impulse generator based on a Schmidt trigger. Standard pulses were applied to an electron-counting frequency meter (H 3-33) in the Continuous counting mode, the display panel of which was removed and built into the front wall of the experimental chamber.
Time marks (1 in 20 ms) were applied from the G 5-54 generator to the second electron-countable frequency meter, the indicator panel of which is also integrated into the front wall of the experimental chamber.
The appearance in the external environment of stimuli that do not have an optical expression, the nagfimer of the acoustic tone from the loudspeaker was recorded using a light-emitting diode embedded in the front wall of the experimental chamber next to the indicator panels.
At the second stage, the obtained video was reproduced in the mode of viewing consecutive snapshots, readings of the time indicator and neuron impulse indicator were read from the TV screen, determined how much time passed from any analyzed event in behavior to another event and how many impulses appeared at the neuron during this time interval . At the same time, from one reference point or another, the videotape of individual repeated behavioral realizations was split into equal time intervals corresponding to the selected histogram channel, and the number of pulses that occurred in the neuron

Successive channels were depicted as adjacent columnar rectangles built on a straight line — the time axis. The height of the rectangles is proportional to the number of pulses of the neuron.
The activity of the neuron of the somatosensory region of the rabbit brain cortex was analyzed.
The positive effect is confirmed by the following data. A comparative experimental study was carried out to evaluate the effectiveness of the known and new methods. Of the 47 neurons, only for 19 were obtained similar results, the activity of most neurons (28) in these situations was different. Thus, with a known method of analyzing the properties of the pulsed activity of a neuron, the conclusion about the role of the neuron in providing behavior is true only in 40% of cases.
